Best Moderate October 2018

I'm trying to plan a split WDW/Universal trip for Columbus week 2018. It will be me, DH, DD15, and DS13.

We've only stayed Value, Poly, or off site. I'd like to try a moderate for our next trip and I've wanted to stay at Coronado for years now, with POR a close second. I love the more relaxed adult feel of CSR, but the boat ride to DS and gorgeous landscaping of POR AB is tempting, too. We won't be in the room all day, but I do have some concerns re: construction at CSR. We love Mexican and Tex-Mex food, but the men in our family would love to create their own pasta every day. We're not huge shoppers, but we do hit up DS at least once per trip. We're from Texas, so a pool in October will not be our top priority, but it would be if we were planning a summer trip. We will definitely be interested in the hot tub though. Loved that our last October trip.

POR will be the only mod not under construction or refurb.

POR is my favorite. I love the location ( close to DS and not a long bus ride to MK or EP ). I like that the POR has a good size food court and a TS location. The River Roost bar offers entertainment ( Ye-Haw Bob ). The resort is big but it adds to the charm ( IMO ). CB and CSR will be under construction but I didn't think POFQ had any construction going on at this time but I could be wrong.

Por is our fav moderate, but CSR has a very large hot tub.
