Best Mod??

In you opinion what is the best mod to stay at for a family of 4. Our children are 10 and 13.

My favorite by far is CSR
Great pool, food court, theming, and the overall grounds are just so gorgeous. However, it's not for everyone. Decide what theme most appeals to you and go for that resort.

CSR or POR, both are wonderful resorts!!

At that age the kids will love the pool at the CSR. Our favorite is the CSR in the Cabanas section. It has a beach feel and it not to far from the pool or the Pepper Market. The POR is nice, but I did not like sharing a bus with the POFQ. All the moderates are nice but it depends somewhat on which theme you like.

I have to agree with CSR. It is our favorite of all the mods (and we've stayed at all 4) and we like it better than some of the deluxes!!!

The pool at POFQ has a great slide for kids.

When are you going. We liked CBR. The main pool at CBR is closed right now but is going to reopen a whole new pool in September. You can check out our CBR pictures from 06 below.

We have only stayed at CSR. We have not tried any of the other mods and probably won't because we love the CSR (our kids preferred it to Polynesian and Contemporary when they were younger). We like the looks of POFQ (we were not crazy about the other two), but we are so happy at CSR that we've never tried it. Your kids will love the slide and the Dig Site at CSR, more choice at the food court and possibly you and your husband and/or kids will enjoy the fitness center.

It's a wonderful mod with the best pool(except SAB) at any WDW resort.

Stayed at POR and CSR, loved them both for different reasons.

To me, CSR has a cooler pool, loved all of the fountains but I didn't really care for the food court set-up and there were a lot of convention people.

I liked the rooms in Alligator Bayou at POR, boat to DD, carriage rides, bike riding over to French Quarter. It seemed really peaceful there, food courts were good and I liked that you kind of had two resorts for the price of one. Loved the begneits at POFQ. Didn't care for sharing busses between POR and POFQ but not a huge problem.

IMO it comes down to which type of theming you prefer. I think you'll enjoy whichever resort you choose.

IMO, the best one is the one with the theme you like best. They just aren't all that different in any other way.

My favorite is CBR even though it could use some updating. My second choice would be POFQ. I have yet to stay at CSR; would like to give it a try someday.

I just fell in love with POR. The grounds are lush, the pools were relaxing and the horse ride was wonderful.

I keep hearing all good things about CSR but haven't even stepped foot on the property. I did go over to the Caribbean but it lacked the lush landscaping. Not in a bad way, just not what we wanted. It is beaches and palm trees.
