Best method/route from AK to DTD

On our first full day, we are at AK for the day, and have an 8pm ADR in DTD at T-Rex. I've heard some horror stories of the transportation to DTD with all the construction. So if we wanted to do the buses, what is the best way?

Also, would it be better to take a bus to a resort that has a ferry to DTD and do that instead? How long (roughly) would each take? It would be for Mothers Day (May 10th).

Thanks

A. Bus from AK to Saratoga Springs Resort. Walk to DTD.

B. Bus from AK to AKL. Bus to DTD.

I like option A (get to semi-see a different resort). How long of a walk from Saratoga to DTD is it?

There is a new foot-bridge that has just opened.
You want to get off the bus at the Congress Park stop at SSResort.

Then, the walk will be about 5-10 minutes.
But, the walking at DTD, itself, can be quite time consuming anyway, as everything is so spread out. Getting between Marketplace and West Side is quite a haul on foot.

Check to see what boat service is available if you have a long way to go.

So we could theoretically stay in the park till 6:30'ish and then do the bus to Sarasota and then walk it? Would that allow enough time?

That could work.
But, if you are unsure of the SSR and DTD area, I'd leave the park at 6PM-ish.

DITTO! I was there March 16-20 and parking/traffic/construction were a NIGHTMARE.

Options A is BY FAR your better option. The bus took 45 minutes. Yes, 45 minutes ON the bus.
