What character meals are known to be the best for little kids? We are taking Dd (almost 2) and Ds (5) and I would like to eat at as many character meals (any meal) as we can! Also... can anyone tell me anything about princess meals?

Thanks in advance!

We've done both the castle and norway princess breakfasts. We actually preferred Norway. Aside from Cinderella, we saw many more princesses and we loved the food.

Aside from that, one of our favorites for character meals is Crystal Palace for dinner. DDs aren't as thrilled with Pooh other than when we're at the meal. Then, they love it, and the food is excellent.

I heard Hollywood and vine is good. Haven't been there. will go for our next trip! It has the playhouse Disney gang

I agree with Minnie823, we found the Norway breakfast better than the Castle, the princesses spent more time with the girls. DD2 loved CP and the Cape May breakfast. We booked Cape May as a last min. thing and it was fab the characters (Minnie, Goofy & Chip'n'Dale) were smashing and the food delish. To be honest this was our favourite character meal, though they were all magical in their own way.

We just returned from Disney last evening and our favorite so far is Crystal Palace.....not only good character interaction but the food was WONDERFUL....alot of choices for any types of preferences and kids too.....we loved the prime rib and salmon and also from the kiddies choices the mac and cheese......also alot of commotion going on there so it is loud and the kids wont mind yelling too..
Same goes for Hollywood and Vine......

My boys are 4 & 3 and we really enjoyed the Crystal Palace, Garden Grill, and Hollywood & Vine.

I like LTT with little ones. You eat family style so no running back and forth to the buffet. The characters come around a lot. I take my baby and preschooler there every time we go! HTH:goodvibes

I was going to add that really liked this meal as well because it was much quieter than some of the other meals and we had lots of character interaction.

We have children the same age and last year they loved:

Crystal Palace
Chef Mickey's
CRT
LTT
Cape May

We went last week and went to CRT(lunch) and Play and dine (breakfast). My kids are 2 & 4. They loved the princesses. We saw Cindy, Belle, snow white, Jasmine and the fairy godmother.

Usually they love little einsteins and jojo but they were afraid. The characters are so big and they come right up to them and it was too much. They both cried.

We also had dinner at 1900 park fare and that was fun for them too. Cindy and the prince, the stepmother and step sisters are there now.

Though I think your 2yo will enjoy the character meals, your 5yo DS will be the better target. That said do you really think he wants to go to a Princess meal? He might, you know your own kids. However, Chef Mickey's is loud, active and there are 5 core characters milling about, our 5yo boy LOVED it. If they both like Pooh then Crysal Palace would be good. There are just some precious reviews of the Playhouse Disney meals at Hollywood & Vine. If your 2yo is like a lot of younger siblings, she'll mimic her big brother. If he's laughing and having fun, she'll probably enjoy it too. :thumbsup2

With my grandchildren, ages 2 & 5, we have eaten at Chef Mickey's, Crystal Palace and dinner at CRT for character meals. My DGS2 was frightened by the "larger than life" mice at CRT :scared1: yet he just loved CP and CM! My DGD5 loved all three! :upsidedow
