We had a really great meal the other night. My husband and I both said it could top our favorite so far or at least equal it. It was an excellent meal! Prior to eating there, being Waves in Port Jefferson at Danfords our most favorite meal thus far is Grand Cayman - The Wharf - just divine!

So PLEASE tell me all about the best meal you have ever had and what did you eat! Thank You....:) We're waiting......

I don't think I could ever pick just one! But I'll pick a Disney related one..

Hollywood Brown Derby - I had the Filet of Beef and I remember my DS11 had the Grouper. It was DIVINE!!! I loved mine and he devoured his....we can't wait to go back next time. (we were with my mom who also had the Filet of Beef and my DD who had grilled cheese)

Stuffed mushrooms
Lobster Mac&Cheese
Prime Rib
Baked Potato
Asperagus
More than a few gin gimlets

Carmen Anthony Steak House in New Haven, CT...it was unbelievable.

Hmm my most recent "best" meal was 2 years ago when we went to Bologna, Italy. I started off with mozzarella & cherry tomatoes and for my main course ordered bucatini with tomato sauce and shaved pieces of pecorino on top, accompanied by delicious wine. Simple meal, but the taste and quality was above and beyond the Italian food you get here by miles.

We don't live to far from there. We will have to try it sometime.

Ours was at Cut in Vegas.

Bone Marrow Flan with Mushroom Marmalade
Blue Crab and Gulf Shrimp, Louie Style
Japanese Waygu

In a restaurant mine was in a restaurant named Due Archi in Siena, Tuscany, Italy. I did a cycling trip there in May 2008 and that was one of the two large multi-course meals we did as a group. Everything from the fresh melon and prosciutto appetizer to the hundred layer cake was great.

Nothing compares to growing up with an off the boat Sicilian great grandma though. There weren't many meals she made that weren't awesome and my grandma continues the tradition of authentic Italian meals that blow away anything I've had in a restaurant.

The best meal I ever had was not at a restaurant! My grandmother makes a roast beef dinner with homemade mashed potatoes, homemade gravy, yorkshire pudding and vegetables. And then a homemade dessert and its always so good I found when I went away to university I really missed it alot and right now im in California she is in ontairo, canada and I miss it alot.

It is so good, hearty, stick to your ribs and always tasty that is the best meal I've ever had.

Our honeymoon, 30 years ago, at the restaurant in the Contemporary Tower (can't remember the name of it now, and the same one isn't there).

I had Beef Wellington and not sure what DH had, but a strolling violinist knew it was our honeymoon and played at our table.

I have to agree. When I read the title of the thread, my Italian grandfather and mother popped into my head. Nothing I've ever eaten in a restaurant compares.... Except there is an Italian restaurant in Oak Ridge NJ called Portofino. The stuffed artichokes are practically a religious experience. Haha!!!

DH and I both agree that our best meal ever was at NOLA 15 years ago but for the life of us we can't remember what we had! :rotfl:

The Chef's Table at Victoria and Albert's! I was served everything that was on the menu and then some.

Additionally, there was a bonus (not on the menu) of a Japanese Wagyu Beef Braised Short Rib.

I've been there! It's FANTASTIC!

Our best meal was in May at Narcoossee's. I had the scallops. Never knew they could be that good. The location and the view didn't hurt either! :cloud9:

That sounds so awesome! How much it is to have a meal like that? 500 bucks per person or more? I know it has to be expensive.

I would like to do that one day.

There is a restaurant in Northern virginiA....my husband bought the cookbook and I can dig it out to get the name.
But dinner started with a delectabel drink...an apertif? It was raspberry. It was divine. I ordered a second one.

Chez Francois, hubby says. I shall google.

Dinner was delish...a multi course extravaganza.

But the dessert...French restaurant, but we ordered
cheesecake. I don't think we have ever had better. It was heaven on a plate.

I will google and find a link and post it.

It ain't cheap...but it was worth every penny.

Negresco Hotel in Nice, France. Nine courses with wine - might have been the wine, lol!
We spent the entire evening at the table and it was marvelous.
