Had ordered shaved white truffle off menu to garnish
Amuse Bouche:Lobster roll with caviar garnish
Course 1: Duck with melon,grains of paradise and vinegar
Course 2an roasted Fois Gras on Fuji apple tart with Mostarda di cremona
Course 3uet of Prime Angus beef and short ribs
Cheeseselicious selection and lovely accompaniments
Dessert:Hawiian Kona chocolate souffle

Next was Flying Fish
Cheese tray
pumpkin&gorgonzola ravioli(best pasta dish I've ever had)
trio of chocolates dessert

Had many a great meal at WDW spots over the years, but the best was the first--at the Papeete Bay Verandah, 1975. I still remember what I had--"Pigs and Prawns", (three large slices of pork tenderloin with 3 oversized tempura style shrimp ) along with an appetizer of scallops in coconut and lime, (there must have been 6 or seven scallops) and some cheescake for dessert. And a couple of Seven Seas cocktails to wash it all down. I still have those souvenier glasses.
How good was the meal? So good that we went back again the next night and I got the exact same thing!!

That sounds delicious.

I would say my best is at the Flying Fish.

Appetizer-Calamari w/ Vietnamese dipping sauce

Entree-Char Crusted New York Strip Steak -

Jiko is a close second.

Appetizer-Kalamata Olive Flatbread

Entree-Lamb Shank - with couscous

Dessert-Pistachio Creme Brulee
