Best Mascara for Parks???????

I get my eyelashes tinted before my trip and don't need mascara. It's not quite as effective as wearing mascara but it works for me because we go in Aug when it's really hot so I like to be as low maintenance as possible.

Where do you go for the tinting? And how much is it? How long does it last?

Loreal, makes one with Tubes on the lashes too.. Its in a red and white package called Loreal Lash Double Extend, and I bought my at the Drugstore for 10.00. It is wonderful and I believe that it would stand up to the wet rides and pool well. I find that it only comes off with me gently pulling the tubes off my lashes while in the shower.... I slept with the mascara on and woke up with no racoon eyes!! To me that says alot.

If you want to try the tube mascara I suggest the Loreal brand it cost about 15.00 less than Blinc. Good Luck I hope you find something that works for you.

I just went and bought this today. We'll see how well it works. I like it so far it doesn't feel like i have any on, I thought with it being the tubes it would be heavier. Let ya know how it goes.

I was wondering the same thing. I have never heard of eyelash tinting. Interesting.

I actually really like Covergirl washable waterproof mascara. I like a mascara that comes off without leaving any black smudges below my eyes. Cheap and effective.

I get it done at the spa where I get my eyebrow waxing and pedicures. All spas do it but I don't think it's a highly requested service...I only do it for vacations. It costs about $15 and lasts several weeks, maybe even a month. They just use a vegetable dye so it's safe and it works better for those with fair hair as opposed to dark hair where it wouldn't be so noticeable. I always choose black but there are different colours and if going out in the evening you can still add some mascara to them.

Wow that's cheap. I've never had it done. I have dark hair, brows, and lashes, but I have a brochure from a spa near here. I just went and got it. Their prices are:

Brow Dye $30.00
Lash Dye $30.00
Brow and Lash Dye $55.00
Eyelash Perm $60.00
Eyelash Perm and Dye $75.00

To OP: The best mascaras I've found for the parks are a couple of the Japanese brands. The Japanese brands are just so much better than our US brands. I usually order them off ebay. My favorites are: Shiseido Majolica Majorca My Lashes Extend Elegantly and Kiss Me Heroine Make Long & Curl or Kiss Me Heroine Make Volume & Curl mascara. All three are good, but I really like the Kiss Me brands better as the Majolica Majorca makes my lashes too long and fake looking. The Kiss Me brands still look long and thick, but more natural looking. The only problem I have with them is that they are almost impossible to get off. You must use a good cleansing oil to get them off. Regular mascara remover will not work. Shiseido also makes a really good base coat called Majolica Majorca Curl, Curl, Curl Toward the Sky that makes your lashes super long and curly. The Japanese brands are impossible to get off without cleansing oil, but they will last through anything without budging.

I'm going to have to check this out and see if I can find somewhere that does this by me. I would love to have this done. Thanks so much for Qing me in on this. I have a darker blonde hair color so I think this will work good.

Just wanted to weigh in on my experience with the Double Wear mascara holding up to swimming. I had mentioned in my other post that I hadn't gone swimming with it on, so I couldn't speak to how well it would hold up.

Well, I went swimming with it on today and it didn't run at all. A TINY bit of flaking and my lashes stuck together a little more, but that's it. I also should mention that I was not swimming in chlorine. I was swimming in a fresh water pond, just FYI in case that might make a difference.

I wore this all day yesterday and took a shower with this on and it stayed the whole time I used my makeup remover and still had to use pressure to get it off. It works great. Thanks.

Thanks for letting me know. I tried the loreal double extend and it seems to work great. The only thing is it takes alot to get it off which I guess is a good thing but maybe not for everyday wear. I wonder if swimming in chlorine would make a difference?

So I too have found it to be somewhat difficult to remove this mascara but I think the payoff for not having it smear or leave gross dark circles is worth it. I did however find a easy way to remove the majority of it from my lashes. While in the shower, I wet my face and gently roll my lashes with my fingers.. Like you would roll something between you forefinger and thumb, it will feel slippery and when you look at your finger you will see a big glob, that is most of the mascara!!! I still needed to gently pull off the tubes on the stubborn little ones and check to make sure I got it all but so far this has been less tugging and much quicker. I am glad you got it and like it.

Oh Yeah, And today I wore it at the pool and not a single problem..

have a great trip.
