Ok so the mest man is MIA and were 24 days out from the wedding.
Weve called many times on his cell and his work.
He never calls us back.
He lives about an hr away and we dont have the time and money to drive down there and hunt him down.
DF called a mutual friend of their and he said he was on his way to BM house to chill he said he would have BM call us. Never did.
Weve left tons of messages Mostly just saying that its really important he call us we need to fit him to his outfit for the wedding (Mom and I made it now need to fit him).
I know DF is upset though he acts like it doesnt bother him.
He says he just wants to know whats going on. This is his "best friend" from college, though DF only went to the school for a year, "Best vacation of his life".
I mean I like the guy hes a nice guy i just dont know why hes avoiding us it seems.
We think maybe its money and he cant make it to the wedding and hes embaress to tell us.
Or he cant get off work or somthing.
But still....
Ugh this is more of a rant than anything else.
Im only 24 days away and getting stressed..
*takes a deep breath*
Oh and theres no one else to fill BM position except for his dad whos supposed to walk his mom down the isle so that throws off my choreogaphy.
UGh stupid boys!

I have also come to the conclusion that people hate my threads

LOL
I'm even unpopular online! Yay!

EK, I really don't have any advice to give. We are looking forward to our wedding, but the planning has been a nightmare. My mother in law is pure evil, his father dropped out of being the best man and the wedding entirely, so now my fiance has absolutely no guests on his side.

Obviously I'm no authority on what to do with these situation, but hugs to you and best of luck that he gets in touch with you soon :grouphug:

Error -
Do you have any other groomsmen? If you do - make one of them the best man. Sometimes a best man is really a title. If you are concerned about the responsibilities he needs to fulfill you can split up the tasks and have others handle it.

Could you have the DF's dad walk your mom down the aisle, then go to the alter, then have you DF walk down the aisle? Or maybe have your df walk in with his mom and dad and just he and his father can go to the alter. :confused3

Good luck! Hope it all works out for you!!

There is only one other Groomsman and a grooms woman.
Were having an odd setup.

He unfortunantly have no male friends that he is close with and no male family members hes close with either.
its pretty tough on him I think.
The reason we have a grooms woman is that it orginaly was to be BM and his 2 bothers as the groomsmen.
One brother has now been sent to africa and is no longer attending.
He asked his good friend who is a girl so she became groomswoman.

its just being tough.

I don't have any advice to give either. I just wanted to let you know that I feel really bad for you :grouphug: What a tough situation! Good luck in getting through this. I am sure your wedding will still be wonderful!

we have many times....
Weve called mutual friends, and my DF even called BM ex GF who still talks to him.
Soo... We'll see DF is already trying to find a replacement but isnt having any luck.

Error_kitten,

I feel horrible for you! :grouphug: I'll give you an alternative way to look at this. In the theatre, we always say if you have a horrible dress rehearsal, you'll have a great show. So it sounds like the planning has been a mess, so in that respect, the wedding and marriage should be wonderful.

Try to be courageous for you and your DF. :wizard:
