Best mama bag?

I plan on getting fanny packs for the kids and something for me (DH gets to lug the backpack ).

I want a messanger type/cross the chest bag with lots of spots for organizing.

Any suggestions? Also, any suggestions on good, lightweight but sturdy kids fanny packs?

I like the bagalinni...you can get a surprising amount of stuff in there.

I personally won't give the kids fanny packs, because I know it will be me that ultimately ends up keeping up with them. I put the autograph books in a ziplock in the bottom of stroller or they fit in my bag.

When it comes to bringing stuff into the park, less is more! I do bring a soft sided cooler bag w/familiar snacks and drinks. When the kids were potty trained I just have my bag (wipes, sunscreen, purell, camera, advil, Tide pen, wallet) and the little cooler bag.

What are you bringing in the back pack?? If your kids are potty trained you may not need to carry a backpack, fannypacks for the kids and a bag for you. I am all for parents not turning into sherpas!!

I have a Baggallini and absolutley hate it! It does not rest on your hip and never stays in place. Plus, it is a PITA to get anything out of it.

I got a Disney messenger bag from the Disney shopping website last summer and took it with us everywhere. It stayed on my hip and never budged. It has a lot of pockets in the front comparment and the inside space is great. I can take mine and DD's swimsuit and two towels in there with no problem. It also has a spot for a water bottle. You can pick your own color and personalize it too.

What are you bringing in the back pack?? If your kids are potty trained you may not need to carry a backpack, fannypacks for the kids and a bag for you. I am all for parents not turning into sherpas!!

I dunno....honestly I haven't thought much about it. Just thought we would need *stuff*!

My bag -- plans, maps/wallet/phone/personal stuff/camera

Kids fanny's -- spending money/change/pens/trinkets they get

DH Backpack...water/snacks/sunscreen/hats/change of clothes for dd/"whatnot".

I think we are going to bring a double jogger so it can always go in the basket, no?

Maybe I need to find a thread of what you need to bring for the day! I have no clue, really!
