Myself and DF are going to Disney using our DVC at SSR for the first time :cool1: . I think I am more excited about going to Disney than my two DDs princess: princess: even though I have been to Disney more than 30 times  . My questions are which area of SSR do you think is the best to stay in with two young girls when it comes to bus stops, peace and quiet at night, and convience to the pool? And my second question is when do I specify this location. My reservations were made months ago and we are going at the end of May. Do I do this at check-in or do I need to call DVC rather quickly?

Look forward to your commments. :thanks:

:welcome: HOME Neighbor!!!!

We always request Congress, for it's mutual location to the Community Center and DTD. Many say Springs to be closer to the Rocks pool.
Bus waits aren't bad, and really it's not a far walk anywhere on property.
They'll ask you at check in and will let you know what they have available then, but of course you can always call. We change our minds a few times after our initial request and call back.

AGAIN, Welcome Home to you and your family! Hope you have the most Mickey Magical time ever!

We have just returned from SSR we stayed at the Paddock, it was near a small pool and bus stop and was very quiet at all times of the day.

We stayed at Paddock. We found it to be very close to everything and also very quiet. The small pool is a great break from all the action at the rocks pool and is nearby. Have fun!

We had 2 teens with us. We loved Congress because it was closest to DTD and they could easily walk there. Also the quiet pool was right there, it was very nice. If you want to be near the themed pool and the "food court" the Springs is the best. The Paddock looked like it would be the quietest and overlooks the lake. We loved SSR. The grounds are beautiful, we loved our morning walk, and despite what some have reported we found the bus system to be great. Nancy

Thank you everyone. Now where can I find a map of SSR to see these lcoations before actually checking in. Is then in my SSR documents some where?
:listen:

A slightly philosophical comment, if I may: I'd suggest that you don't get your heart set on any one neighborhood at SSR. While it is wise to do the research and OK to make a request, if you don't get that location you might start your WDW/DVC trip out with disappointment.

Be well!

Being that we've only stayed there once I would have to say The Springs. That's where we were and it was great. Of course last year The Paddocks werent done and there were only 2 bus stops.

We stayed in the Springs last trip and requested it for the next one. Loved it there!
