Best Location in OKW

We are planning our first visit to OKW as DVC members. The resort is so large what is the best location to request to be centrally located?

It really depends upon what you mean by centrally located. There are 5 bus stops and 4 pools (main pool & 3 quiet pools) at OKW, so you're never really far from those facilities.

If you want to be near the check-in/hospitality area, you need to book that. OKW has created a Near Hospitality House booking category, it is the same number of points, and will be within an easy walk of the front desk/main pool/restaurant and boat dock. But we honestly prefer the quieter areas away from Hospitality.

The Near HH category includes bldgs 11 to 14 and 23 to 26. If you can;t get that category, but want to remain close to the area, bldgs 15, 16, 27 to 29 and 62 to 64 are good alternatives. Be aware that only bldgs 62 to 64 have elevators, and are often used for those with mobility issues.

Thanks Chuck. When we looked at the map we were really not sure of pool locatins and the such. We would prefer close to a quiet pool rather than the main theme pool. the map we were using was not very detailed.

Then likely the Old Turtle Pond Road or South Pointe areas would be good for you.

We've stayed in 55 and 46 and love the quiet feel but a short walk to the pool and the bus stop. In 55, we actually heard the kids in the pool, 46 was much quieter but farther from the hot tub! Both buildings offered us fabulous mornings of watching the birds on the water and boats coming and going from DTD. It is also very close if you want to walk to DTD--just out the door and around the golf course. It's a lovely path, a nature walk almost ,but on a cement path.

We like the idea of the water views as well as it being quieter. We are going to try for bldg 55. Thanks for the advice.
