We're currently in the process of renting points for a stay in October at Kidani Village. We're booking a Standard studio view. Can anyone tell me where the majority of these rooms are located and where we should request our room be?

TIA!

Under normal conditions, when we stay at Kidani, we request a room closest to Jambo House (I think it's the Zazu/Timone end of the resort) - mostly because it's a much simpler walk to the main gift shop and the restaurants at Jambo. But since not everything is open, that might not be a great advantage at this point. Kidani is a very long resort, and at times walking to the room can be a good haul. So one recommendation might be a room near the main lobby, which is also near the bus stops and the pool. Be sure to check out the animal viewing area just outside of Sanaa. Come to think of it, be sure to check out Sanaa! One of our favorite restaurants - love the break service.

Most of the Standard Views face either the uncovered parking or the pool area (see map below).

Wouldn’t stay there again in a studio if you paid me...just checked out and the lack of QS right now is atrocious. The Mara isn’t open and every time it stormed the pool QS closed down so you had to leave the resort to get something and who wants to go out in a monsoon?? However if you have a car and don’t mind leaving the road behind AKL is a quick drive to a ton of restaurants. Just not our cup of tea.

With all the Kidani villas, each villa has cooking facilities. Studios have a microwave and a toaster as well as a Mr Coffee style coffee maker. The store in KV also has food items to buy to prepare or heat up in the villa. Plus a few bakery items. You are not going to starve in a studio.

We are staying at Kidani this Dec as part of a split stay. Never stayed near AK, looking forward to it even if it’s only for a single night. Thanks for the tips. We will request a room closer to the lobby, just to save the walk!

yeah fully understand that but heating up a microwave meal...who does that anymore (not since I was in college)??:scared: And the items at the store are less than appetizing. Again just not our cup of tea!

You want 7637/7737/7837/7937 (preferred 7637 which is lobby level)

Why?
Somewhat close to lobby, very close to the pool elevator, and you will be on a savanna (although smaller animals but still pretty cool).

If you can get one of these rooms you will be very happy. There are some other rooms closer to the bus but honestly I was okay with a little more walk for the view we got (we stayed in a 1BR right next door to these rooms).

Hi,
I was wondering if someone could tell me the best area to request a standard 2 bedroom villa? My family is going in July 2021. It is our first time staying at Kidani, we don’t know anything about it. We will have our own vehicle, so we don’t have to be close to the buses. TIA

I like getting the villas that used to be savannah views. I always ask for near the Pumbaa elevator. It’s a bit of a walk but I love getting to watch the animals—okapis, nialas, water bucks, wart hogs and many birds. It’s a smaller Savannah.

Sounds great, my grandsons (1.5 and 5) will love the animals. Thank you for getting back to me so quick.

What numbers are those?
