hi all!

dh and i are celebrating his 40th and my 30th birthday at the end of september and making our first trip home:lovestruc we were able to book bwv studio garden view and will be bringing our son who will be 15 months old at the time.

i looked at this map: http://www.wdwinfo.com/resortmaps/boardwalk.htm and it seems like the the buildings that are closest to the lobby would be best for us as they are most central to walk to epcot, dhs, and the soda fill ups :)

the buildings aren't named or anything. how do you request which buildings you'd like? just give all those room numbers? or can i just say i'd like a room either in the pink, purple, mauve (?), or blue building???

do any of you have preferences for your room location at bwv?

There is only one building for the BWV. The colors on the map are for illustration only.

Based on what you posted, you should request "close to the lobby" or "close to the elevators".

Requesting a specific room number is usually a bad idea. The more general your request, the easier it is (and more likely, too) that it can be granted.

Enjoy the trip!

ah, ok. thanks for the info. i will call tomorrow to put in our request. i understand that just because we request something doesn't mean we'll get it but i'm hoping we'll be close to the lobby since it just seems like it'll be easier with the baby.

The lobby is actually one floor up from the Boardwalk level. The lobby is on the same level as the bus stop which is located near the BWInn side of the front drive.

I think "close to the elevator" would probably be your best request.

There is only one set of elevators (three of them) centrally located in the building.

oh...really? i've never stayed there so i can't picture where anything is! the buses are on a different level? i see on the map they look closer to the inn part. the proximity to the elevator would be helpful with the carriage, that's for sure :) thank you!

When the buses drop you off, you walk up the sloping walkway to the lobby, which is on the 2nd floor. If you want to be on the boardwalk itself, or the pools, you have to go to level 1. It's really pretty clear when you get there.
I would also recommend requesting a studio that is close to the elevators, with possibly a village green view...one of my favorite views.

the main pool area is also close to the elevators.

so you might be there too.

now if you want close to the bus stop - that is standard view.
(there is a first floor door on that end)

Think of the Boardwalk as a multi story "walkout" home.

You walk in from the parking lot or the bus stop to the "main floor" - the lobby is here and there are rooms on this level.

Go down a level and out the "back doors" and that's the level that the poola and the Boardwalk are on. More rooms on that level.

And three floors above the "main floor" with rooms on them as well. Its a hotel where the stairs or elevator proximity tend to become important because there isn't a room that is on the right level for all situations.
