Best Located Hotel Other than Monorail Resorts?

We are planning an October WDW vacation and are needing to book two rooms this year, instead of our usual one, so we need to find a less expensive resort than our favorite, the Polynesian. We spend the most time at the Magic Kingdom, and need a resort that can get us there quickly and easily. Any recommendations?

You could rent points and stay at the Wilderness Lodge Villas.

Try the WL. It is a pleasant boat ride from the MK and room rates are lower than the Poly.

If you spend most of your time at the Magic Kingdom, then I'm going to recommend the Wilderness Lodge as well.

The WL is the least expensive of the Magic Kingdom resorts.

If you were going to spend more time at Epcot or MGM, then I'd recommend the Swan or Dolphin or any of the other Epcot resorts; Boardwalk or Yacht/Beach Club.

WL all the way. If we weren't traveling with friends who want to see animals, then that is where we would definitely be.
