I am back in the dark ages with a mouse that moves with a ball...and seems to be going bad. I tried cleaning it, etc, but it, like all of my other computer equipment, is old. I work from home, and also have a "home computer", so I figure I should buy two good but inexpensive ones. I don't usually have a problem with my current mouse's cord, so I don't think I want to spend $ on the cordless feature. I may just go with a basic Microsoft one. Any thoughts or advice? I will probably order off Office Depot's website, to get reward points. Thanks!

We use Logitech optical mouses (have done so for a long time) and have been very happy with them. I prefer the corded mouse, actually, have used the cordless one, but didn't really need that feature either.

Ditto to what Michelle said!

I have a microsoft cordless "Blue" optical mouse (okay, I admit it, I bought it because the blue and silver matched my new dell laptop for college! ) and I believe it was around 30 dollars.

I guess that isn't inexpensive, but it seems to run alot better than my old mouse with the ball. I too, tried removing the ball and cleaning it. After awhile I think it just dies on you.

Logitech makes great products too.

Mine is an Micro innovations. Works great and was around $20.00.
