Went to Bubba Gumps last time - have been before a few times in Orlando and although a different location, we were happy with food and service once again. We will be visiting again when we go to Orlando so would like another option and there seem to be plenty to choose from in Garden Walk.

Which is best between California Pizza Kitchen and Cheesecake Factory? Are there any others you would recommend?

That's why we love staying in DLR resort area - so many on and off site options within easy walking distance.:goodvibes - too many to choose from though.

I love the Cheesecake Factory. Yummm... Chicken costelletta. Or cashew chicken.. or shrimp scampi. And a pineapple mojito...

CPK is okay, but not a favorite in my family.

Another vote for Cheesecake Factory! Although I admit that I've only been to CPK once (not at that location) and it was a long, long time ago. We used to like PF Chang's but we went to the one at Gardenwalk last spring and it was SO loud there. It was hard to even talk to the person right next to you. And our food was really salty so probably won't be back. Fire and Ice looks interesting but I've never been there.

In my opinion I wouldn't consider CPK, because I can make pizza with non traditional toppings at home.

A lot of people like PF Changs, but I still find it hard to believe the food is so much better than any other chinese place to justify the high prices.

McCormick and Schmidts though has a great happy hour menu.

Cheesecake factory is well liked, but I can't decide if I would like it without having the cheesecake dessert when dining there.

I don't think I've actually ever had room for the cheesecake when I was done eating. Looks so good- and then NO ROOM! Grr.

That is usually the problem. You say let's go for the cheescake. Then you end up leaving without having the cheescake.

OMG they're all marvelous so I won't be of any help! Changs and Cheesecake are my favorites. CPK is great, too and my kids favorite.

Thats like asking which one of my kids I like best. If i had to choose a last meal it would be Pizza. I really like them both. Staying at the Ramada so this will be real nice.

;)

My vote is for happy hour at M&S, and cheesecake factory for dinner.. I love that place also!!:thumbsup2

I would not waste your time with the fire and ice grill or any other place at the garden walk… ;)

My vote is Cheesecake Factory. We don't have it in Canada and we go for it when we're in the U.S.

But as you have read, there's a common problem when eating at Cheesecake Factory...too much food!!!

Our strategy is to share 1 dish between 2 people. Though that's hard because there's so much you want to try on the menu. By doing that, we actually have room for dessert.

Ok know that this thread is about gardenwalk.. but I want to suggest some other things.. because I was at garden walk not long ago, and although M&S was great, I was not really impressed with the rest of the place, although with cheesecake factory being there I guess it gets a thumbs up..but anyhow..

I was there on a Thursday night, thinking at 7pm that it be packed..
Yeah not so much. Put it this way—I could of rolled bowling balls down the middle of the garden walk and not hit a single person! There was not a whole lot of stores open also….i don’t know what that is about…:confused3

But anyhow, I do suggest Mimi’s café, it is in walking distance from DLR.. and Downtown Disney also has a lot to offer! ;) :thumbsup2

Well you can always do what we do occasionally. Backwards dinner, you order dessert and then eat your meal after. :)

We really like PF Chang's, don't find it too salty at all. I don't add salt to my food so if someplace is overly salty I can always tell but I've never had that happen at PF Chang's. Of course I've only eaten at 2 and never at the one at the GW so I can't say for sure, perhaps there was a cook who liked salt on duty that night. :) If you go to PF Chang's try the lettuce wraps, they are so good!!

CPK, our favorite is the BBQ Chicken Pizza, sooooooo good!!! We don't have near to home but we have eaten at the GW location and in Sac and we enjoyed both very much.

Cheesecake Factory is very very good. Again, not one close by so it's a treat to eat here for us, when we last ate there we did an entree each (the girls ordered from the kids menu, even tho the older one was technically too old, the server didn't bat an eye) and then we tried desserts as well. We had leftovers so we boxed them up, took them back to the room (Peacock Suites, right around the corner from the GW) and had them another time. Portions are huge and the food is delish, we would absolutely go back.

I guess I'm not much help but if we were choosing we would probably with the Cheesecake Factory because it was so good.

Also as Sara mentioned there is Mimi's, lots of good places in DTD and there's a Joe's Crab Shack down Harbor across from Target. Lots of choices. :)

I'm going out with you guys. I have tried to talk dh into doing this and he won't go for it. I asked if I could order for us at Outback one night and I ordered a Thunder as the appetizer. He stopped it.

Last time we were there, the restaurants were the only reason to go there.
The rest of the stores were boring and did not invite casual browsing. If they want more people there, they need to get in some better stores.
