Hello everyone, my second post on the boards!! Woo-Hoo:cool1:

I am going to Disney for a second trip with my grand daughter who will be turning 3, probably this is about my 10th trip to Disney, first being the one when the park first opened and my parents to my brother and myself, I just love Disney and part of the fun for me now is planning.

Anyone give me any thoughts on the best place to eat at Epcot to then catch the Illuminations show that evening, also where is the best viewing spot for the show? Thank you all in advance!! Looking forward to reading your suggestions. Leaving May 12th for 3 nights.:cheer2:

of good viewing spots for Illuminations. There are some restaurants that are good viewing spots but getting a seat is a problem. The Rose and Crown has outdoor seating. It can be hard to get and sometimes the smoke blows in that direction. The CS in Mexico has a good view. Your granddaughter may become a little impatient given the time you would have to wait. Tokyo Dining is another option for viewing as you eat.

There are so many good restaurants in Epcot that setting your ADR early enough and walking to a spot is a good option. Le Cellier, Restaurant Marrakesh, Biergarten, Askerhaus princess meals for you granddaughter and Rose and Crown are all good meals.

Some good spots for viewing;

• Bridge between UK and France
• Near the twin gift shops at the entrance to WS from FW
• Norway area
• Upper level (outside front terrace) of the Matsu No Ma Lounge in Japan
• Italy, near the Gondolas
• Mexico, at the oudoor Cantina
• Mexico, bridge to the right of oudoor Cantina (as you face the lagoon.)
• UK, the Rose & Crown outdoor dining area (ressies required.)
• UK, just to the left of the Rose & Crown (as you face the lagoon.)
• Many, many more great spots.

A poster named Robo has great maps showing viewing points .for all of the fireworks and parades. I would paste it in the thread if I knew how. The Passporter guide also has a good map.
