Once when we were eating at Akershus, Jasmine was interacting with our family and asked where we were from. We told her Michigan and she said she knew people from Michigan could use their hand to show where they lived and asked where we were from. We showed her and my husband asked "Are you from Michigan too?"

She gave him a look of total shock and said, "No, I'm from Agrabah of course!"

We hadn't had much interaction with characters up to that point and were amazed at how they are able to stay in character.

Anyone else have any funny stories???

Mary Poppins always asked my kids if they are well-behaved. Alice once asked my daughter if she'd been down the rabbit hole as well. And I've gotten down on my hands and knees to play with Pluto.

I'm sure I have others....but I'm trying to work and read the DIS at the same time! LOL

One of my favorite moments was catching Alice with Tweedle-Dee and Tweedle-Dumb in the UK section of Epcot in 1996(ish). Epcot was really empty and we were the only people in that area. I don't even know if they knew we were watching, but they were in the garden area playing patty-cake with each other and they would randomly get up and chase each other.

It was co cute. It looked as if they were simply amusing each other to stay busy. It was priceless. When they realized people were watching, they ran away.

a few come to mind

My DD then 6 was having her Wish Trip and Goofy comes along and interacts with her for a long time well being Goofy.
During the same trip they stopped the Christmas parade and Mickey & Minnie came down to hug my DD.

On out last trip Peter Pan had great interaction with DD and her friend regarding Pixie Dust and flying . Wendy was scolding him for telling girls to fly.
It was amusing .:rotfl:

In January my sister and I went to Disney for a week. She brought "Pierre" with her. A Happy Meal toy that is kept in her office, people bring him on trips like Flat Stanley. She had me taking all kinds of pics of Pierre. Well, we saw Alice in Epcot and my sister went to have her pic taken with Alice and Pierre. Alice started talking to Pierre asking if he'd eaten a biscuit that morning as well. Very funny!!

We were there last summer and took my daughter and her best friend who is like a daughter to us both for their 15th Birthday and Peter Pan was so very rude to the girls both and would pose for a picture with them or anything and he even told my daughter to grow up?

I don't ever remember Peter Pan being this way on our past visits and even Tinkerbell told him Peter you silly boy be nice to these girls!

We were at Akershus and my "older" adult friend told Cinderella how beautiful she was. Cinderella said that she too was very beautiful. My friend responded, "I wish I looked as young as you do!." Cinderella said, "Well, I'm not that young, I was drawn in 1951."

We met Mulan in China while doing a Kim Possible Mission. My DS6 edged up to her and whispered "We're on a secret mission. Lord Monkey Fist and his monkey ninjas are hiding in that hotel over there." Without missing a beat, Mulan put her hands on her hips and said, "Again?! The last time he stayed there, it took a week to get the monkey smell out!." :rotfl2:

We have always had the best interaction with Ariel. On our last trip, we were at the princess breakfast in Norway and I was at the cold buffet. Ariel walks by, puts her arm on my shoulder and tells me to try the seaweed because it is really yummy.

Family Magic Tour when DS was 4.
Got to hang with Peter Pan and Wendy in Fantasyland and they took him to Mickey's Philharmonic and on Peter Pan's Flight.
Too cute. He's twelve now and that story embarrasses him

My BFF and I were at the Princess Breakfast in Norway during a 'girls weekend' trip. When we met Snow White, she asked us why were there, so we told her, and asked if she would like to join us later. She said, "Oh, no, I can't...I have 8 men at home to take care of." :lmao:

This past MNSSHp, we saw Tarzan.
When the children in front of us asked him to sign autographs, he acted like he didn't know what a pen was. He was trying to eat it and stick it in his ear. The children kept laughing at him. Then when the photographer clicked the picture and the flash went off Tarzan jumped and acted scared.
It was quite funny!

We were at CRT for lunch and my daughter, then 3, was enjoying her ice cream sundae. She was covered in chocolate (hands and face), when Mary Poppins and her pristine white dress appeared. DD lunged for her and I jumped, yelling, "She's dirty!" Mary Poppins jumped back, smiled and whipped out a napkin. Without blinking she said, "That's quite alright. I am a nanny, you know". Then she cleaned DD's hands and face, very lovingly.

We were having breakfast at Askerhaus with DS12 and DD8. DS is nonverbal autistic and I usually just tell characters that he dosen't talk. Usually he gets a big smile and a "Well thats okay!" Well Ariel looked very ernestly at us and said "You know, I went through that myself, when the Sea Witch stole my voice!" It was just adorable.

June 2010.

Queen of Hearts.

Annoying 10 year old DD.

I told the Queen of Hearts that DD10 had been naughty and that she could have her head. (DD10 loves Alice in Wonderland).

Queen of Hearts wrung her hands gleefully and went for DD10 who promptly ran behind DH for cover, giggling away.

She came out a few seconds later to get her autograph and picture. The Queen of Hearts was really into it. It was great.

And the bonus was DD10 behaved herself the rest of the day.

Love these stories! Last October we had lunch in Norway - DS6 enjoyed it but was not super excited. Until Ariel came by and kept calling him "Sailor". He ate it up! When she left, she kissed him on the cheek leaving a lipstick mark. He had a goofy grin for hours.

This past January, after having breakfast at CRT, we were walking thru Fantasyland near Belle's Storytime. As we rounded the curve we saw Cinderella's evil step-mother and ugly step-sisters. Our DD 7 was dressed as Cinderella and the step-sisters went on and on saying things like "oh look, she looks just like our step sister... The maid!!" One of the step sisters asked my DS 3 if he was eligible and would he marry her. Then the step sisters plotted to steal DD's magic wand she had gotten at CRT. The step
mother just looked on with
utter disgust, it was very cute.
The whole day after that DD kept saying, those girls stole my wand and still talks about it when welook back at the pictures of the encounter.
That will always be a great memory! :)

Here's another:

Akershus princess breakfast in 2009. Mulan came on over and DD9 asked where Mushu was.

Mulan told her he was no longer allowed in the restaurant after setting fire to the kitchen when he was trying to cook.

DD9 nodded and said "Oh, like Grandma."

I burst out laughing and almost forgot to take a picture of the 2 of them. (My Mom used to burn food all the time.)

A couple of years ago we had dinner at Garden Grill. Chip (or was it Dale?) took one of my daughter's hands to get her to stand up near the table, then started dancing with her. It was so cute! Chip and Dale spent several minutes at our table just goofing around and dancing with both DD's.
