Best Illuminations DP location?

Wondering what you think is the best location for an Illuminations DP. We should have 40-50 people.

I am torn between these 3:
UK terrace
France terrace
Italy isola

Love to hear from Brides who has done these, or if you have been to look at them recently.

I had my reception of 50 people at italy isola and had it during illuminations it was an awesome spot to see it plus the pictures we got of us on the bridge with illuminations behind us were unbelievable.

Really? I didnt think you could have your reception in a country until after the park closed... So what time did your reception start then?

I am so glad you mentioned this - I am completely rethinking plans now!

We had our welcome part in France Upper and have attended a private party at UK upper and both locations were excellent for viewing.

my wedding was at 730 reception statred at 830 illuminations was 9pm then we had the spot till 1230 or 130 ???
we just couldnt have the full dj till the park closed we still did our fist dance while we were waiting and all the important 1st dances just not loud party dance music till about 10pm but i was fine, we set the place uup like a cocktail party since it was late whicch saved alot of money instead of serving an actual dinner we did alot of appetizers on a buffett w/ full bar it was great!

I believe they no longer allow any amplified music at outdoor locations in Epcot, even after the park closes, so check with your planner if you have your heart set on a DJ.

Our dessert party was at the lower UK terrace, and we really enjoyed the secluded location and front-row seats on the action. The only thing is, depending on the weather, you might get smoke blowing your way.

I also think Italy has a spectacular view of the fireworks.

We dont have our heart set on a DJ, so I am not too worried about that.

I keep changing my mind on what I want as far as times and location. And the more I read on the DIS the more I change my mind. I think I am driving DF crazy

I am so anxious waiting for a planner to call me back! I call DFTW yesterday at 9am for the first time...

We had Italy:

We changed since we did an early reception instead of putting our dress/tux back on.....

We were too small for the isola, and another group has the west terrace that night. So unfortunately no italy for us.
UK is booked too as of now, so we ended up with the French terraces for now. He waitlisted me in case UK opens up.

Keep checking in on that wait list - nobody told us when ours came through about a month before, so I was really glad I'd thought to ask!

France seems like a great location too, though, so either way you're set!
