I have an ice cream addiction and would be interested to know best places in each park. Usually we get the dining plan and have dessert with that, but since that’s a no-go this year, I’m free to discover frozen treats at WDW! That’s a good side to everything!

While it's not ice cream, exactly, kaki gori at the Japan pavilion at Epcot is much beloved. Bonus is that it's also fairly inexpensive. Also at Epcot, you can go out the international gateway and get amazing sundaes at Beaches and Cream at the Beach Club. It's a very short walk and a wonderful break in the day. Just be sure to book ahead.

At Magic Kingdom, I'm a fan of the Dole Whip, but on busy days we like to take a park break and take the boat to the Polynesian and get it there. (I'm a big fan of the quick park breaks, can you tell?!)

This might be an unpopular opinion, but I love the sundaes at Ghirardelli in Disney Springs. You can find location at various places across the US, so if there is one close to you skip it and try something else, but if you don't have one I think it's worth a visit. The warm brownie sundaes are fantastic!

Animal Kingdom- Dino-Bite Treats have really terrific ice cream treats. They have ice cream sandwiches made with fresh cookies and their strawberry shortcake one is yummy .
Epcot- Frances- Artisan de Glace is killing the ice cream game. They have several really good unique ones. They have a brioche they stuff with ice cream that is amazing. look up photos , they also have a delicious ice cream martini that's customizable- choice of Grand Marnier, Whip cream vodka or rum plus your choice of ice cream served in a martini glass.
Magic Kingdom- sorry I go for Dole Whip here ...tradition
Disney Springs- Ghiradelli or Vivoli il Gelato

Resorts - you have to go to Mecca ---Beaches & Cream Old Fashion ice cream shop
. Popular dishes : No Way Jose Sundae Peanut Butter and Hot Fudge delight featuring Chocolate and Vanilla Ice Cream, Peanut Butter and Chocolate Morsels, Whipped Cream, and a Cherry or if you dare the Kitchen Sink (served in a Kitchen sink of course and big enough for the whole family plus in laws : Scoops of Vanilla, Chocolate, Strawberry, Cookies ‘n Cream, and Mint Chocolate Chip topped with, Hot Fudge, Peanut Butter, Snickers pieces, Fresh-baked Brownie, and smothered in every additional topping we have. plus a whole can of whip cream!!!

At the MK it’s the age-old question: Dole Whip at Aloha Isle or Citrus Swirl at the Sunshine Tree Terrace?

If there’s one place you have to get ice cream, it has to be L’Artisan des Glaces in Epcot’s France pavilion. My favorite item on their menu is the “Croque Glacé,” which is a scoop of your ice cream flavor of choice in between a warm, pressed brioche bun (plus a sauce of your choosing). We always get coconut white chocolate ice cream with caramel sauce (this combination was recommended by a CM 3-5 years back), and it’s probably one of the best desserts on property, if not the best.
