Best hotel option for one night, late arrival?

Crazy question but I usually drive everywhere.... what is a ride share and how does it work?
Uber or Lyft are the two rideshare companies that currently operate. Lyft tends to be more popular and slightly less expensive Orlando. They are private vehicles operated by their owners, you arrange pick up though their respective apps on your phone. Search them online, that will be the easiest way to get an explanation. It’s a good option, especially if you are traveling with a few other people (safety).

You need the ride share app, either Lyft or Uber. You set up an account on the app and link a credit card.

When you need a ride, you open the app. It will know where you are. You type in your destination, and the app will give you an estimate of the cost for the ride, depending on time of day, size of car, and how many drivers are available at the time. You pick an option, and the app connects you with a driver who will pick you up and take you to your destination. You pay and tip through the app. Easy peasy.
Thank you :)

I really hate transferring hotels. I'd absolutely book the "night before" at the resort you're actually going to stay at. In the morning, you'll have been all unpacked and can hit the ground running. That's worth whatever cost savings I might get by switching.

I book the night before if I'm going to arrive very early, to avoid the not-ready-at-4PM room on arrival day. It's like getting an extra vacation day for me, even if it's a leisurely, laid-back day. It's a cost of vacationing for me.

Lots of hotels on Augusta National Drive right off airport property. Much cheaper than the airport and most include breakfast. We stayed at the Marriot before our Disney cruise. I think we were there less than 8 hours from check in to check out.

I would normally be with you. I am baffled by split stays when people are staying there less than 10 days (and even 10 days is pushing it for my taste, but I kinda get it).

But in a situation where you're getting in at 11:30 PM so you save on airfare... that's not a situation where you need to hit the ground running the next day. No real unpacking either if you're just crashing for the night. Just make sure your toothbrush is handy, if you believe in hygiene--which I don't. A germ is not something I'm afraid of; I take pictures of my food while it's sitting on a toilet seat. Anyway, after getting up, still packed, have breakfast and saunter to your Disney resort the next morning and unpack for real there.

Several years ago we had an 11:30 pm arrival on a Friday night after work/school. We booked the Hyatt inside MCO.
There were t-storms which delayed our flight. At 12:30am we were taking off. We landed at 2:30am-ish and we were so happy to be able to just stagger to our room. We packed everything we'd need for the next morning in carry ons so we didn't have to open our main bags at all. I did call the Hyatt before we took off to tell them we'd be very late but to please don't consider us a no-show.
Back then, we could get it on Hotwire for $59+taxes/fees.
