I am looking for the best hotel on a budget, but I am wanting one across the street from DL.
Suggestions?
Thanks

I think most of the hotels on Harbor are affordable..some more than others. Important questions is when were you looking on traveling and how many people do you need to fit into a room?

HoJo with the ent rate is wonderful! *~~*
The Anaheim Plaza is ok - I wouldn't pay more than $60 per night.

Over Thanksgiving weekend *Wed-Sat* we're at Best Western Stovall's *behind the parks for $65 per night - I got it via LMT *knowing what I was getting using this *trick*

We won't be going until next July (2013) 2 adults and at that time our kids will be 13 and 16.

ooo thanks for the trick. i will use that next time!

I've stayed at both the Camelot and Tropicana--both across the street on S Harbor Blvd. They may not be the Grand Californian, but they're easy walking distance and not scary/icky. The free breakfast was minimal, but they have a fridge and microwave if you bring food from home.

We often stay at Best Western Park Place Inn or Desert Inn and Suites. Both are directly across the street from the pedestrian entrance to the parks. They're affordable, but in July their prices are higher than what I'm used to paying in October. Both charge parking (as do many hotels on Harbor) and both have a free continental breakfast.
I have heard pretty good things about Best Western Stovalls and as of now I think that might be where we stay next August. Its a slightly longer walk than the other two. They also charge for parking and have a free breakfast. If booking a Best Western, I seem to find cheaper rates through their company website rather than their individual websites.

Thank you for the advice.
One more question. We are also going to visit Universal, San Diego Zoo and Hollywood. I was able to find that Universal is about 40 miles from DL. This will be my first trip to CA so I am not sure where anything is. Does anyone know how far my other locations are from DL?
