Do any of the off site hotels have EMH and/or GOOD buses to the parks. I have stayed on site before but too expensive it seems. I have 2 adults and 3 kids and will be going Dec. 19-23 this year.. This is an unexpected trip we may be able to do and will probably not be able to do again for many years. I booked the Swan but resies came back for 4. I think they guy misunderstood me. POR is 218.00 a night for 5. Any help or advice would be appreciated.:goodvibes

The Swan can only hold 4, but with double beds, the Dolphin can have a rollaway bed, so you can have 5. It will be a bit tight, though, so it's a compromise: stay in the best area (in my opinion) of Disney, but be kind of cramped into one room.

Oops, I just checked and it looks like the Dolphin is booked up for the 19th to the 23rd.

The only decent alternative I can think of it to check out the Downtown Disney hotels. They all have regular transportation to the theme parks, if it's maybe not quite as frequent as the Disney resorts, still it's there and included in your room rate. For 5 people, I'd look into the Doubletree Guest Suites, as you'd have a bedroom with 2 beds, plus a sofa sleeper (years ago, I slept on it while visiting with my parents, and it wasn't bad) plus you'd have a fridge and microwave. The new Holiday Inn looks nice too.

The Hilton Downtown Disney gets EMH.

The Sheraton Safari's website says they have shuttles, and they have suites listed for about $134 a night for your dates.

I'm not sure if the Hilton Bonnet Creek has shuttles, but I think they do.

Good luck!

Hilton Bonnet Creek is awesome. Their shuttle is dedicated to just that hotel and the neighboring Waldorf Astoria. Very close to Disney property. The pool area is fabulous. Kids eat free in their restaurant too is a bonus.

I'm a Wyndham owner, and agree with one of the other commenters that Wyndham Bonnet Creek is an outstanding resort. Unfortunately, all they have available for your timeframe is a 1BR unit that will sleep 4. Cypress Palms also has a 1BR unit available, sleeps 4. Star Island has a 2BR lockoff that I can get for $95/night. I've stayed at this resort a couple of times (though never in connection with a Disney vacation) and it's very nice. They do provide a shuttle to Disney that you need to reserve 24 hours in advance. That part shouldn't be a problem, but there is a fee. Unfortunately, I don't know how much it is.
