Best Hotel location for Universal and Sea World??

We are a family of 6. This is our first time off Disney Property and we would like to use Hilton Points at a Homewood Suites. I love the look of the Homewood Suites at LBV. We can get a two bedroom unit and the pool has a zero depth entry. Is this too far out of the way from Universal and Sea world? Is it too close to Disney so my kids will be crazy that this is a journey to the "dark side" trip? I know there is a closer Homewood Suites to Universal, but the pool doesn't impress me online. Help!!!

If you aren't visiting Disney, then I would find something closer to Universal and SeaWorld. It is a long drive.

I've stayed at the Homewood on I-Drive by the convention center and I would agree with you that the pool area is not amazing,but the hotel was fine and in a good location right between Sea World and Universal 5-10 minutes away from each,you can take Universal blvd to Universal and avoid the I-Drive traffic which clogs up north of Sand Lake rd,and you can take I-Drive to Sea World which doesn't have as much traffic in this area.The area is also full of restaurants and attractions so I wouldn't have a problem staying there again.I go back and forth all the time when I'm in Orlando,I'll stay on I-Drive and drive to Disney or I'll stay by Disney and drive to Universal and don't think the drive is that bad.The LBV Homewood suites is also located on Palm Parkway which is a road that if you take it north becomes Turkey lake rd and leads directly to Universal,no more than a 10-15 minute drive.It also intersects with Central Florida Parkway which goes right to Sea World,no more than 10 minutes away.I use these roads all the time to get between the three parks so either location is honestly a pretty easy drive to Sea World and Universal.That LBV Homewood suites is actually closer to Sea World than any Disney park.
