Our trip is next month and now I need to think about our grocery order. What grocery delivery service is best? Any tips?

We've used Garden Grocer twice, and absolutely love their service!
Their website is convenient, already having the Disney resorts pre-listed at check-out so you don't have to find the address for it. They can drop off your order at front desk if you pay online, and prices and shipping are extremely reasonable.
I don't know of any other sites/places off the top of my head, but I have no need to go anywhere else but to them.

Try their website, it's fun to make a shopping list on there :)

Thanks, that's just the info. I was looking for. Do you know how far in advance they need the order?

There is also wegoshop.com. While I like that they will go to any store that you want their prices are a bit higher then garden grocer. If you go to their website you can check it out. I think it says like a week in advance is preferable.

We used Garden Grocer. Ordered over $300.00 worth of groceries (9 of us in OKW GV) Way too much (groceries- not price) with the dining plan. Groceries were delivered to bell services and brought to our room. Perishables were refridgerated and everything was delivered as ordered. (including bud lite, yieng ling beer).

We will use Garden Grocer again. Prices were not that much higher than back home (Ohio). Because of the amount there was no delivery charge (we did tip garden grocer and bell services) Poor guy had to lug up about 9 bags two floors in 90 degree heat.

Another vote for Garden Grocer! We have used them twice now and have been extremely satisfied. They will leave the groceries with Bell Services if they arrive before you do. Bell Services has a refrigerated storage area to keep things. Everything has been perfect when it arrived - even ice cream! :thumbsup2 I like that you can build a "favorites" list on their website and place your order from that. I personally prefer to select from their offerings because I am just too lazy to sit down and make a detailed list for someone else to follow. I also like that you can pay via Paypal on not charge the items. We will definitely continue to use them.

Another vote for wegoshop. Marge delivered to us in February at AKV. The process was very easy, I made a list and emailed it to her. She was excellent and shopped as you would yourself, making sensible subsitutions when things were not available and checking out the best special offers etc. As we hadn't used her before I wasn't happy to leave my credit card details with her so we had to meet her in the lobby and pay in person. However having met her and used her services now I would be happy to give her my cc# so that she could deliver to bell services without me being there.

Some people suggested to me getting a taxi to the nearest store and paying for it to wait whilst I shopped. This works out around the same price as having groceries delivered but frankly I didn't want to waste any of my vacation in a food store.

we have used her at least a half dozen times and it works out great- groceries are the price you would pay at the store yourself so if the delivery fee is a bit higher you will still save money - she will get you anything you want - she has even found different types of wine for us - well worth it

A vote here for Garden Grocer. Have used them twice with only one minor issue - they forgot an item that they delivered the next day, which wasn't a problem for us.

We have used Marge at Wegoshop.com 5 times and will be using her again next week. I highly recommend her.
I prefer to make my own list, rather than spending the time going through an online store. Marge will shop where you ask her to, and her prices are the exact price of the item at the store. She will give you the original receipt. The delivery fee is a bit higher, but I believe we still saved over the price of the marked up groceries.
Have a Great trip.

I couldn't find beer on the website. Do you have to call and order that?

Garden Grocer did a great job. We will absolutely use them again.

The prices were good. They called before our trip to confirm the date and time of delivery.

Only two comments:

1. After arrival, we called for our groceries to be brought up to the villa. At first they said they had no groceries for us but checked further and said they'd be up in 10-15 minutes. I told him we had a dinner reservation and had to go. He said OK, no problem, 10-15 minutes. After 40 minutes and three phone calls they finally arrived. If he would have been more accurate with us from the get-go, we would have held off until we were back from dinner.

2. Garden Grocer gives the option of adding a tip to their invoice. The instructions specifically say that it is for this person, that person AND bell services (or concierge, whoever delivers it). We added $5--it was a small order, only three bags. When the guy (finally) arrived, we told him that we had added a tip to the invoice. He told us he doesn't receive any of that. A bit misleading.

I learned several valuable lessons this trip. This was one small one.

That was not Garden Grocer's fault. That was between Bell Services and you. Bell Services should not have promised you 10-15 minutes.

I've ordered several times from Garden Grocer and no where does it say that the tip you place on the order is for both bell services and the garden grocer delivery person.

I know that it wasn't GG's fault.

I can not pull up the GG form again unless I place an order. Maybe it said the tip was to include delivery personnel and I assumed that it meant Bell Services personnel. It makes sense now that GG isn't exchanging funds with Resort Cast Members.

Like I said, I've learned several things this trip.
