Hi,
I am looking to book a Grand Villa for my in-laws, they do not need a handicapped-accessible villa, but they do require that all amenities (including the master bedroom) be on the same floor and accessible by an elevetor. What are my options?
I am not sure about elevator access so you may need to call Disney to confirm that (but I cannot imagine them having deluxe accommodations on a floor other than first without an elevator available).
Looking at the floor plans (since I personally have never stayed in a grand villa), the GFV grand villa appears to be on a single floor.
Boardwalk shows a single floor in the plans but I heard some actually have 2 floors.
Also Aulani looks to be on one floor, if you ever go to Hawaii.
Animal kingdom is not a single floor but most amenities are on the first floor except I thought I heard that one of the villas (not sure if it is kidani or Jambo) may have a pool table upstairs.
BLT is never a single floor but the master (with porch) is downstairs with kitchen and living room. I believe laundry is downstairs also but not positive.
OKW and SSR are shown on 2 floors in the floor plans with almost everything on the first floor (kitchen, dining area, master BR, porch) but the plans show that SSR has laundry on 2nd floor. OKW is 1st floor laundry per the plans.
Also others please chime in if any of this is incorrect.
You can search
YouTube videos by resort for walkthrough videos if that helps too. We inquired about a direct purchase so they sent these plans with square footage which I find immensely helpful to have in one place. You could do the same (just call to say you are considering PVB).
There are no GV's at BCV or WL.
