Hi,
I am looking to book a Grand Villa for my in-laws, they do not need a handicapped-accessible villa, but they do require that all amenities (including the master bedroom) be on the same floor and accessible by an elevetor. What are my options?

I am not sure about elevator access so you may need to call Disney to confirm that (but I cannot imagine them having deluxe accommodations on a floor other than first without an elevator available).

Looking at the floor plans (since I personally have never stayed in a grand villa), the GFV grand villa appears to be on a single floor.

Boardwalk shows a single floor in the plans but I heard some actually have 2 floors.

Also Aulani looks to be on one floor, if you ever go to Hawaii.

Animal kingdom is not a single floor but most amenities are on the first floor except I thought I heard that one of the villas (not sure if it is kidani or Jambo) may have a pool table upstairs.

BLT is never a single floor but the master (with porch) is downstairs with kitchen and living room. I believe laundry is downstairs also but not positive.

OKW and SSR are shown on 2 floors in the floor plans with almost everything on the first floor (kitchen, dining area, master BR, porch) but the plans show that SSR has laundry on 2nd floor. OKW is 1st floor laundry per the plans.

Also others please chime in if any of this is incorrect.

You can search YouTube videos by resort for walkthrough videos if that helps too. We inquired about a direct purchase so they sent these plans with square footage which I find immensely helpful to have in one place. You could do the same (just call to say you are considering PVB).

There are no GV's at BCV or WL.

BWV has 5 single floor grand villas, the other 2 are two story. Laundry is on the second floor of the two story units. You can request single floor but it is not a guarantee.

The Animal Kingdom Villas - JAMBO House are single floor. They are the ones with the pool table. There is elevator access.

The Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani are two floors. There is elevator access there, also (hallway only).

BLT are two floors, but both floors have elevator access, none of OKW a have elevator or one floor GVs. AKV Jambo are one floor. I wouldn't risk BWV a as its only a request and not guaranteed. Of course GFV are all one floor with elevator access.

SSR is two floors but you can access the second floor by an elevator outside the unit.

So SSR, GVF, AKV and BLT are my options.
I clearly can't afford GVF, and BLT would be tough on my wallet as well.
I did not know about the pool tables at Jambo House, really cool!
Next question is: what is my chance of getting either SSR or AKV Jambo at 7 months?
We are looking at 1st week of March, 2016.
Maybe it is time to add on at SSR or AKV :)
