As many times as we've been to WDW, we've never had a funnel cake there. We're not on the dining plan this time, so we're thinking about eating some new & less expensive things. I rarely hear about anyone eating the funnel cakes. Are the best ones at EPCOT or are the ones at MK and AK just as good? Will we be disappointed with any of them? All opinions are welcome!!

Thanks,
Anne

DS always has to have one by the USA in Epcot. They are pretty comparable to what we offer here at the Jersey Shore. :thumbsup2

I had a yummy one this week in EPCOT, it was just past American Adventure, very close to that huge stage. I hoped it was a snack but it cas $6 cash money, no snack credit. Delish!!!! I have had them in MK to the left of the castle near where they sell parasol umbrellas, and they were equally as great!

so they are not on the snack list? That stinks but I will get one anyways!!

According to Allears, they have them at Sleepy Hollow in the Liberty Tree section of Magic Kingdom. My DH read that they have them somewhere in Animal Kingdom, but I don't know where, or if the information is current.

From what I have heard, the MK one at Sleepy Hollow counts as a snack credit, but not the ones in Epcot....

Since funnel cakes are associated with the Pennsylvania Dutch (who I proudly claim as my ancestors), there's no place better to get them than at the American pavilion. If you get the traditional powered sugar topping (the only worthy topping in my opinion), be very mindful of which was the wind is blowing. You haven't lived until you've been completely covered in funnel cake powdered sugar.

This is true (applies to the funnel cakes with powdered sugar or cinnamon/sugar).

To the OP, I regularily sing the virtues of funnel cakes on this board. A funnel cake with powdered sugar, served with cold milk, is a breakfast requirement for my family, from Sleepy Hollow when we are at the MK. I can't think of a better way to start the day. It usually is a great, quiet spot in the mornings too.

I worked at Sleepy Hollow, so I definitely have to say they're the best there, especially the one with strawberries. However, I was told by a guest once that the ones at Epcot were more expensive and smaller. I don't know the validity of that, though.
