Best Fried Chicken Dinner in the World?

I've only had it at 50's Prime Time Cafe twice (but that was years ago; now that I'm over 50 even with working out I have to watch my calories, LOL).

It's good but too much IMHO for one, so each time I split it (and they always brought it out on separate plates). I asked for dark meat, as I despise fried chicken breasts. They split it and included sides for each, not sure if it was a half order of the sides, but it was plenty for each diner.

First time, I was alone with my kids (they were 5 and 7 at the time) and we ducked in to escape a sudden downpour. We sat at the Tune In Lounge attached to the restaurant, and the bar tender said they served the full menu at the bar. So, that's where we ate. Just a thought, if you don't have an ADR and find seats at the bar, you can eat there too.

50s Prime Time's fried chicken was really nice! Mine was the allergy menu version.
I enjoyed my allergy version as well.

Depending on the allergy, you should try Skippers Canteen fried chicken. It was just as good, although a little more upscale.

Hoop Dee Doo chicken is very good, but I found it no better than our local Publix. Best fried chicken I've ever had was in Savanna at The Pirates House.

The only place I've tried it is at 50's PT and both times were very tasty. I'm from deep South MS and make excellent fried chicken myself and I really enjoyed it at 50's PT.

Maybe you should of done a poll with HDDR, Homecomin, 50's Prime Time, and Plaza as choices :rotfl:I would like to know which would win. I have had HDDR and 50's Prime Time chicken and both were good.

Trails End at the Wilderness Campground is great, same chicken at the HDDR, 50s Prime Time different but also excellent chicken

House of Blues has great fried chicken. It’s newrly boneless so it’s much easier to eat and it has a nice little zing in the coating.

Put me down as another fan of Aunt Liz's Golden Fried Chicken at 50s PTC. AND the buttermilk fried chicken dinner at Olivia's...

If you want something a little more casual, you can always get the fried chicken dinner at Ft Wilderness from P & Js Southern takeout. 10 bucks will get you 2 pieces of chicken, 2 sides and cornbread. It is the same chicken served at Hoop Dee Do and Trail's End. We have done that twice - once before the "sleigh ride" in December and once before the Sleepy Hollow event that had in October.

And now I need to figure out where I want to go for a chicken dinner tonight!

We enjoyed the fried chicken at 50s Prime Time last year. We got two dinners for our family of 4 and couldn't eat it all.

Close call between the Hoop dee Doo Revue and Art Smith's Homecoming which is located at Disney Springs.
