Best free birthday desserts?

It was 11 years ago but I got this at Boma

Back in '13 my girl-kiddo got a chocolate shoe for her birthday at CRT. I'm 90% sure it's something one would normally have to pay for, but she her younger brother had picked a fight with her just as we were being seated and had really gotten under her skin and she was so dramatically unhappy, as only a 9 year old can be, that I think the hostess may have called in some pixie dust. Funny part is by time we received our food, let alone this lovely treat she was having a fine time and the bellicosity with her brother long (but not for long) forgotten.


Wifey got a cupcake once or twice on the occasions we've gone close to her b-day, and boy-kiddo got the grey-stuff at BoG one time celebrating his b-day.

Last time we went in August, my wife made a special request at Jock Lindsay's that it was My birthday that very night we had always wanted to sit in the Diving Bell if at all possible (completely understanding that it's a larger table and there were only three of us, and NBD if not happening) They couldn't get us into the Diving Bell, but they got us a nice seat and a special JLHB pin.

Funny enough, Wife and I came back a couple months later for our anniversary and they gave us each another of the same pin.

Last year my son was given a free mickey premium bar. I know its not cake but we were thankful.
