No, no debate over how good or bad the system is, the availability of this FP+ or that FP+, etc., etc., etc.

Simply....what is the best FP you have ever scored?

I'm sure we'll hear lots of A&E and 7DMT, which are great because they can be elusive finds for great experiences. Mine is actually something I never thought I'd do. There are so many places from which to see parades and fireworks that I never figured I'd 'waste' a FP+ on one of those. However, I'm hoping the Illuminations FP+ I have for the early showing on NYE will live up to my expectations of being one of the best grabs ever. After seeing how many people were already staking out spots at 3:00 last NYE for the early Illuminations I think it will!

For us, it's easily MSEP.

We strolled into Magic Kingdom 15 minutes before the show and everyone was already off the street and on the curb. We walked up Main Street (totally by ourselves) with my daughter on my shoulders waiving at everyone as they cheered us on. Even stopped for a photopass picture with the castle behind us (below in my signature)

We entered the MSEP viewing area, got a spot just off the front looking directly at the castle and never had to rub elbows with anyone. Simply put, I won't even see MSEP without a FP+ anymore.

Very cool LSU! Parade and fireworks FP+ may indeed have more merit than I figured. A lot of my thinking on that front had to do with what you have to give up (forego a FP+ for some other ride) to get the parade of fireworks FP+. That's especially true in Epcot with tiering. However, I may be using more in the future!

As for FP+ we've actually used, tops on the list would be Soarin' last NYE, when the SB line was 300 minutes.....yes, 5 hours. A&E last July was great for the ladies in our group.

Magically we were able to get everything that we wanted and planned for - for our six day trip at the end of this month. Our biggest score is 7DMT and M&G with Elsa and Anna. I'm thinking I should've bought a lotto ticket that day :yay:

This is our first trip using FP+ and so far it's been great!

Best I scored for this trip was the day there was a glitch in the system and someone posted it on the dis. We now have soarin and test track in the same day! Hopefully they don't disappear now that the system is back to normal.

Our strategy usually involves park hopping and rope drops. Basically, we a recommended park in the morning for rope drop and spend our day there. With no FP+ we can get at least one main attraction done with alot of mid tier items as well with little to no need for FP+. Then, that evening we hope to a more crowded parks where our FP+ awaits.

On a day like the one I mentioned we spent the day over at Animal Kingdom and didn't need one FP+. Went back to the room for some relaxation then hit Mickey's Backyard BBQ for dinner. After that, we took the boat over to Magic Kingdom where MSEP, Anna & Elsa and Mine Train awaited us.

The day the system glitched this summer and we got FP+ for both Soarin' and Test Track on the same day.

Mine was a glitch (I think) as well - being able to grab FPs for seven people for 7DMT in the exact same time window with our MNSSHP tickets, at sixty days including two people not staying on site.

My favorite was definitely the Wishes FP, there is no other way to re-create the experience of laying in the grass of the rose garden watching the fireworks. I can wait in line for a ride and the ride is still the same, but the only way to experience Wishes like that is with the FP.

Mine this trip was definitely BOG for lunch. Was our first time eating there and the FP made it so effortless.

It was definitely the MSEP last November. My son (then 4) would never have waited an hour to find a good spot. We LOVED arriving a half hour before the parade start time and getting a front row spot in front of the castle. He loved the parade. It was so magical seeing his face light up.

We will try our very best to get this again next May, though I realize staying offsite it may not be possible. But I'll try.

I went to WDW for a half day in February when I was in the area for the Daytona 500. Walked into the park at 2pm and scored Big Thunder, Jungle Cruise, and Haunted Mansion at a kiosk. Amazingly productive half-day.

There's been a couple:
SDMT the weekend that it opened (I got these 3 days before my FP date so that was surprising)

TOT the night of the Villains party right at the beginning of the party it was a great way to kick it off

Maelstrom it's closing date (I got these the week before the FP and again it was surprising but I was so happy to be able to grab them)

Generally getting all my FPs at times i wanted for a group of 12! Other than epcot, where tier 2 FPs really werent even needed, WE were glad to see long SB lines when we zipped by in the FP lines. . . Made it feel like the planning paid off!

There was nothing more special than getting the gift of fastpasses from another family. Always loved that.

I'm still not sure how this happened - but on my birthday in May, the week 7DMT opened, I scored FP+ for 7DMT, Anna/Elsa AND got a breakfast reservation in the castle. I told DH that was basically like capturing a unicorn.

MSEP - hands down - only problem was getting to the area. it was really hectic and crowded, till we got to the special viewing spot. This was last Oct 2013.

My FP+ MSEP experience was wonderful!! It was magical; relaxed, calm, and I got to see my favorite childhood parade with no hassles!! I was nearly in tears from this amazing experience!

Being a short-statured adult is quite annoying for parades or anything where someone taller then I could be in front of me. I have gotten yelled at by adults wanting their 'child' of 5'2" to stand in front of me. Because of this, it's just not worth it to watch parades or fireworks, etc. All I see is people's heads and huge hairdos. Let me stand in front of you...I promise, I won't block your view or step on your toes.

(I got to see the original MSEP when I was 6 back in the early 80's at WDW, just once. My parents purchased the MSEP record for me, and I used to play it EVERY DAY from then till I was 12, when the record was ruined do to a flood in our basement. To say this parade was a huge part of my happy childhood memories of WDW would be an understatement.)

We did the FP+ for illuminations when we arrived last year at Dec 29. Only to I have for you is get to the spot before they open. They let everyone in 10 mins early and the crowd surged in around the fence. I had to place myself back among the store wall where it's up an income to see over people's heads. They reserved no spots up front for wheelchair users. I'll be doing it again this Dec 28. Unless they still haven't saved a few spots. Then I'll go to the wheelchair sections.

On busy days I think there's a lot of pressure for them to fill this area as quickly as possible.

Our best score was Jungle Cruise last Dec 30. Line was over 2 hours but we went right in. Had two more attractions booked the rest of the afternoon. Even had time to stop and get food at Diamond Horseshoe Saloon. That was when FP+ had a lot more same day availability.

We used our A&E FP+ last week - dh took dd and when he was asking a few workers where to go, every one of them commented about "WOW, you have an A&E FP?? Lucky you!" Thanks to the DIS for helping us score those!
