what is your favorite for lunch at epcot and why

Will not agree but we've had two very nice lunch's at China. They had a lunch buffet served at your table. All the items we had were hot and tasty and service was great.:wave2:

we love all the WS restaurants for lunch, France, Mexico, and LeCellier (Canada) are amongst favorites!!!! we do love going to Rose & Crown (England very much, the food is surprisingly yummy, not food I would normally eat at home, but surprisingly good!!!!! and the Bass Ale is pretty good too!!! :)
we like the atmosphere, and they have some of the nicest cm's there!

Laura :)

13 days til our 3rd annual Thanksgiving trip to WDW!!! YIPPPPEEE!!!!!!!!!! :):Pinkbounc :):Pinkbounc :)

Our family loves the atmosphere in Mexico. The food is good and reasonably priced. After lunch we ride the boat ride and buy souveniers in the plaza.

Wish I was there now.

Out of curiosity, do you generally need PS's for lunch? And, what time to they start serving lunch?

I voted for Le Cellier, but would recommend either that or the Rose & Crown. Have had lunch at both and have always been pleased. Try for an early PS at both (quieter). Also, if you go to the R&C, request a patio table. These seats give a great view of most of World Showcase, the lagoon & part of Future World.

ENJOY!!!

We usually have lunch at Garden Grill, and same the WS restaurants for dinner. It's a nice quiet affair, a short walk from the FW action, with good eats.

I agree with TimC, we also like GG. Their food is very good and the character interaction is probably one of the best as far as character meals go.

Last Monday we went to San Angel Inn and were unfortunately dissappointed. We've eaten here some years back on a few occasions and enjoyed it but this time around, the food was just ok. Very plain and boring. DD's chicken fingers were extremely overcooked that we had to ask them to remove it from the bill (she didn't eat them).

Kind of bummed about that but guess we have to stick with GG. It's just A LOT of food at GG (which is probably nothing to complain about:p )

In the past we've also had lunch at:
Germany-just ok, not really into that kind of food, cute entertainment
Japan-good food with fun entertainment (but limited menu for kids)

Akershus in Norway is very good. Not terribly different from typical American-style food, but just enough that one might feel adventurous. Like mashed rutabaga. I wasn't sure if I'd like it, but I certainly did! It's all-you-can eat, too.

I've never eaten at Morocco's Marrakesh restaurant, but I've heard good things about it and I love that sort of cuisine.:teeth:

usually we make them but it probably depends on where and when you are going. I have heard of many getting into to the buffet type places espec. with out them during off season. it's driving me nuts cause I have changed this particular one 4times and right now have one .at chefs which was good last time (hubby's choice) but kind of wanted something new. tried all the others but morroco ( going to tang. cafe instead as didn't look good to hub.) and norway which looks a ittle scary to me but has received so many rave reviews I figure I am missing something! so far chefs and canada are neck and neck.

wdw dining can tell you earliest available for each rest. as some have different times. most I called about were 12 for WS

San Angel Inn
why?
atmosphere atmosphere atmosphere:D
this was the 1st restaurant we ever went to in a disney park and we were astounded with the atmosphere, it is also where my dd turned to me and said "now i understand why you spent so much time on the dis researching and i'm so glad you did":p the food is not as good IMO as some of the other epcot places but we love the atmosphere and for sentimental reasons we visit each trip, also i discovered Pollo A las Rajas last trip...VERY yummy::yes::
katypop

Teppanyaki! It is my family's favorite. Lunch is much less expensive and very large portions. We usually split 3 meals amoung 4 people and have plenty. Less tha one month to go!

We have never been able to convince anyone to do Italian or Chinese. Our favorite is probably norway, though not all have had a vote since induction of new menu- have been there and it was ok, but felt we wasted more food than with old system. My dd pointed out that with table service they probably received more tips which is important to acquiring people willing to serve.

The food was OK there but my girls LOVED the belly dancer. She had them out on the floor dancing. We wouldn't have had that experience anywhere at home.

We have plenty of Italian, Chinese, Seafood, French, Indian places but not a single Mediterranean restaurant!

Have to have lunch at Coral Reef for the Mahi and Chocolate Wave, and to see if there are any scuba divers. MMM, so good. Diana

I voted for Le Cellier. The food there is really good and we have always had great service. I have also eaten at Rose and Crown and while the food was pretty good, (though nowhere near as good as Le Cellier) the service wasn't.

I voted for Le Cellier. I've eaten there twice for lunch and enjoyed very much for food, service and atmosphere. I tend to return to places I've enjoyed before rather than risk going somewhere that i may not enjoy. I know that isn't very adventurous but that's me. Teppenyaki I've had for dinner but would like to return sometime for lunch due to the fact that they have the same menu for about half the price.

I like Le Cellier, but why go to a steakhouse when you can do something a little different?

I voted for Morroco b/c the atmosphere and the food are outstanding and there's entertainment. Plus it is one of the few park restaurants with a bona fide lunch special. I get the one with two appetizers and Dh gets the one with dessert.

We also always eat at Teppanyaki (my children's favorite) and Akershus. Usually do San Angel and have had good meals at Chefs de France and Le Cellier. We thought Rose 'n Crown was just so-so -- could have been what we ordered.

QUOTE] can you explain more abut the lunch specials or what they are called if they are on the menus online?
thanks
still "secretly" want to go here but would need to come up with something good to appeal to hubby and 2 desserts just might work..::yes:: !
