Best food/value in DTD no dining plan/ OOP

Our first night we will be staying in DTD. Just realized our dining plan doesn't start till the next day. Thus, I will have to pay out of pocket for our first night dinner. Any recommendations? Good food at a reasonable price?

We were going to eat at Wolfgang puck express on the 2nd night with the dining plan, so we could do that twice or... any other reccomendations? or coupons ?

If you are interested in counter service you might try the Earl of Sandwich. They have some interesting things and the cost is fairly reasonable.

Thanks. Any reccomendations on what to order from Earls? I googled them and saw something about a holiday turkey sandwich... I wonder if they still have that in December.

We will be eating in DTD our first evening there too. Right now our plans are to eat at Earls, we've never been there but I've just heard such good things about it and it doesn't seem too pricey.

I do believe EoS will have the holiday sandwich thru december.

That is where I would recommend also. Or if you really like WPE you could do it again....I think it is that good to do twice a trip. LOL

We do like EoS though.
The roast beef is good, the ham and cheese, the holiday...basically everything really, just depends on what you like.

Go to the Earl and have the 'all american' if the holiday sandwich is not available...it's fab. I could have eaten it every night!

We like both T-rex and Rainforest. Most of the time we do apps and drinks at the bar. Capt Jacks was good. Paradiso was also good. No ressie needed for Dec 8th!

Fulton's has terrific food, but a terrific price. I agree - Earl of Sandwich followed by Ghiradelli next door for desert.

We love, love, love Earle of Sandwich....don't let the line drive you away...have one person grab a table another the food. Another more upscale option which is great is see if House of Blues has a gift cert on restaurant.com....and they aren't on the dining plan.

Ghiradelli!!! Well, that's where I go when my family insists on eating sandwiches (sooooo not a sandwich girl here). I go and get a sundae to go and take it back. Keeps us all happy.

EOS is great and budget friendly. The prices are GREAT and the sandwiches are very filling. We usually eat there every trip!

the earl of sandwich makes a mean ham and cheese and for about 8 bucks... also, if you are a fan of fish and chips the cookes of dublin is really good. for like 8 bucks also you get a huge fish filet battered and fried to order, with really good chips (fries), a drink, and a fried candy bar of your choosing for dessert... We had a fried snickers bar, yum!

We just ate at both Planet Hollywood and Rainforest and if you have either of them near home then I wouldn't bother. Rainforest food was much better than PH, larger portions and better quality. We walked by EoS and would have loved to try it - but we were a party of 13 and most wanted a sit down meal . . .
