Best food--Margaritaville or Hard Rock Cafe?

We don't drink, so that won't factor in our decision, but who has the better food? And since we will have kids with us, ages 11, 10 and 9 which do you think they'd prefer? I'm also a bit worried about the sound level in these two places, my son was a preemie (preemies sometimes have problems with loud noises) and he is ADD, so if either restaurant is very loud we may have to skip it. I'm really leaning towards Margaritaville after looking at the menu, but want to make sure it doesn't have a constant loud noise level.

Margaritaville is my choice....can't compare the noise factor, but they have the stilt walkers making balloon animals (or whatever for kids) and i think the food is better (quality and selection and price) than HRC.....however, your kids may like the themeing of HRC better......maybe do 1 (or both) for lunch and the other another day?

Food - I like them both, it just depends on what you're in the mood for at the time...We try to do both on each trip.

Noise - I have sound sensitivity in one ear, and I find HRC easier to deal with....but it's certainly not serene. Noise and CityWalk/UO go hand in hand.

Thanks for the feedback, I would love to eat at Margaritaville, now I'll have to see if I think my son can deal with the noise level at the restaurants. He gets very upset at constant loud noises. The good thing is that he doesn't like loud music, which is one good thing about it! ;)

I would pick Margaritaville too. However, be aware of the "volcano eruption" every fifteen minutes. Margaritaville is pretty loud with music, but if one of my kids was sensitive to sounds; I would worry about the loud sounds that accompany the volcano when it erupts (with lights flashing too). My kids love it, but wanted to make sure you were aware of this. I find tht NBA city is usually the most mellow of the restaurants in Citywalk. I also really like their food for Citywalk food.

We prefer the atmostphere at Margaritaville and the music is mellow!

Our last trip the HRC had great food. Mac and cheese, chili, cheesburger were all good.

Seems like Margaritaville is the fan favorite around here. Try to go at 05:30pm if you want things a little quiet. 8pm is rush hour at all restaurants, they get packed and noisy.

On the food, try to order simple things, like burgers, fries, wraps, or salads.
I wouldn't order a fancy steak or sea food. Some people go in with a high expectation, order something fancy, and are let down. Stick with simple stuff and you'll be ok. Sharing appetizers is a good idea.
