Give me your thoughts on the food from different character dining experiences. On the last trip we did breakfast at Cape May Cafe and it was pretty good, although the environment felt like Dennys. :( And we also did dinner at Chef Mickey's but was a little disappointed in the food. We want to do a different character dining on an upcoming trip and are hoping to find something with better food! My daughter is into all the characters, so it doesn't really matter who is there. TIA!

I have done Lilo and Stitch breakfast at O'hana, Donald breakfast at Tusker House, Happily ever after at Park Faire, Dinner at Crystal Palace and dinner at Garden Grill, Dinner and breakfast at Akershaus and Liberty tree tavern when it was a character meal.

For breakfast I loved Tusker House, everyone else loved Lilo and Stitch. For dinner I liked Akershus but I loved Garden Grill. This trip.....in 6 days.....we are doing Chef Mickey's for the first time.

I have heard a lot of bad reviews on Chef Mickeys (besides my own). Some say it was dirty. I thought it was really very clean, and we had good service, I just thought the food was a little bland. However, there is this one dessert.... it looks like a mickey head and its made of chocolate- to DIE for! Hoping you have a great experience!

For breakfast I have ate at Chef Mickey's and Tuskar house, and the service for us was so much better at Chef Mickey's, but the food itself was better at Tuskar House. We also ate at Crystal Palace once for dinner, it was okay, like any other buffet. Hope I helped some.

Thanks! Maybe we'll give Tusker House a try- I can't recall hearing anything bad about it!

We also really liked Tusker House. We also went to The Crystal Palace and H&V for breakfast. We will go again to Tusker House and Crystal Palace, but not H&V. We just did not like H&V breakfast.

Can I add a third :thumbsup2 for Tusker House?

I can only speak for breakfast, but there was something for everyone - delicious, fresh, interesting flavours (in addition to the breakfast staples). I'll be back there 4 weeks tomorrow :cheer2: for yummy flavours... and tater tots.

I'm a fan of 1900 Park Fare (probably the only one)... I love the breakfast there (lobster benedict, pecan rolls & strawberry soup) and the dinner was good too (sushi, pot roast, salmon). Tusker House was okay for us... I wasn't blown away by the choices. I've been to Crystal Palace twice and never again. The selection is very small. Cape May breakfast is great, loved the characters and lots to choose from. Chef Mickeys was good for the breakfast that we went to. I haven't been to any other meals. The Lilo & Stitch breakfast at 'Ohana is good... nothing special though.

We also loved breakfast at Tusker House. Our other favorite is lunch or dinner at Crystal Palace we eat there every trip but have never tried breakfast yet. We did CMs twice for dinner and it was not good. We are staying at CR this year and I'm trying to decide if my DD and I should give the breakfast a chance or maybe we should do CP because we'll be able to walk over.

I'll agree with Tusker House being a good breakfast. And while i usually do prefer a buffet, i gotta say i've enjoyed breakfast at Cinderella's Castle both times we've eaten there. Maybe not worth 2 table service meals on the dining plan, but very good nonetheless.

And from now on i will steer clear of Hollywood & Vine at the Studios. We were there for lunch and everything seemed to taste the same. That is, to say, like air.

We have done almost every breakfast in WDW. Our favorite is Ohana. Characters are great, food served family style so not as crazy as typical buffet. Only down side, it takes a while to be seated even with ADR.

I love the Donald breakfast at Tusker House. The breakfast is great and the interaction with characters is good too. I loved the characters at O'hana but not the food.

Another Tusker house breakfast fan here. We thought the food was great there, and the kids loved the Character interaction.

Hollywood and Vine also has decent food at breakfast, but the characters are for really little kids.

We LOVED everything about our breakfast at Crystal Palace last summer. We got into MK before opening, the food was hot, fresh and delicious, the atmosphere is gorgeous, and the characters...well...we saw EEYORE!

I am a huge Eeyore fan, so I am a little biased, but my entire family loved this place, too.

We also think the food at CRT is pretty decent, and in our opinion, that is the ultimate character experience, especially with a little princess. There's something special about dining in the castle, so if you haven't done it yet, I recommend it at least once. You won't get gourmet anything...but you won't get gourmet from any of the other character meals, either!

Is the food not so great at 1900 park fair dinner? I was hoping that might be a good choice for us.

It will be for my 7 year old son (who pretends not to like characters ;) ) My parents will be joining us and my mom will be using an ECV for the first time. We have been to Tusker House and it was good but wanted to try something different. CP was cute but I think my son will think pooh characters are really babyish. Im wondering if ohana breakfast might be a better choice.

We've never done 'Ohana breakfast, but we enjoyed dinner at 1900 Park Fare. The food was not good at all (we actually prefer the food at Chef Mickey's), but there is enough of a selection that everyone should be able to find something to eat. The great thing about 1900 PF is the characters. Lady Tremaine and her daughters are really a hoot. I would think that a big boy would enjoy them. We went there when my son was almost 15, and he had a great time teasing Anastasia and Drizella. It made up for the food.

You are not the only one who enjoys 1900 PF breakfast, although not fans of their dinner we really like their breakfast buffet. They have a huge assortment that's different than most of the other character buffets and the atmosphere is a little more "low-key".

Not a fan of CP breakfast or dinner however we do like their lunch very much. Not fan of CM any meal or Ohana breakfast. GG has worked pretty well for us - just wish they still served lunch.;)

But as far as "character" breakfasts 1900 PF is our favorite with Cape May in 2nd.:thumbsup2
