We're staying at POP and arriving on a Friday 10am-ish, first trip for everyone but me(Dsis 40, her DS5 and DD5) and I haven't been in years :guilty: Our first stop will be MK :cloud9: What is the best way to get there with the most impressive and memory creating view?? :artist: Should we just take the bus from POP or take a bus to Epcot, then take the Monorail or go someplace and take a ferry????? :confused3 Or can we even do any of those???? :confused3 Thanks for any advice :disrocks:

Well I always thought is was amazing to take the ferry over form TTC but usually I do not have that much self-control and have to get thru the gates ASAP so I take the bus....in other words, the best view is looking up Mainstreet first thing in the morning.

I agree with surfer_ed. My mother treated the extended family to a WDW trip in '96 or '97 (I think, the year the castle looked like a birthday cake). Cynical me went along for the ride just to escape the Pa. winter for a week. On the ferry over to MK it just hit me that this was a special place, not just another amusement park, not just another vacation. I've never lost that, but since then we've probably sailed the ferry only 3 or so more times. We tend to stay at S/D or Boardwalk and hop to Epcot every day so the bus and monorail suits us better, but by all means, take the ferry your first trip in.

My very first trip to WDW my family stayed at the Polynesian. We arrived at about 8:30 PM and checked in quickly. My parents took my brother and I down to the beach just as the fireworks were starting. I can't think of a better introduction to the magic of WDW.

oh the buses to and from MK to Pop are horrible. I think its because that park is the farthest from the resort but we are talking a good 30 minute wait to and from the park. I vote for taking the bus to epcot and then doing the monorail. I also vote for taking any resort bus to the resort and then going to downtown disney then going to pop when you leave MK at night. It can be much quicker (esp after the emh or mnsshp nights)

Agreeing with Bill and Ed. The ferry, though I seldom use it (same reasons as Bill), provides an vista of things to come. Enjoy. :thumbsup2
