I searched the forum for information on prime firework viewing spots, but really didn't come up with anything. I know I've read advice somewhere, so i apologize for asking redundant questions... I must not be a very good searcher!

I know we should be in the hub, but where in the hub? We plan on seeing the 10:30 Fantasmic show afterwards and we will be going in mid July.

While I am at it....Any tips for Fantasmic viewing?:)

Thanks for all the help! All of your advice is helping me plan a magical vacation!:wizard:

The difficult part will be navigating from the fireworks viewing location to NOS for a great F! spot. After the fireworks are over there will be a herd of people heading out of NOS and you will be trying to get in. It's a mess. It is very important to have an "exit strategy".

We've done this before and this is what we did. We watched the fireworks from a spot in the hub on the street in front of the castle but just to the left so that we were very near the pathway the Carnation Gardens area. As soon as the fireworks ended we stood and moved purposefully past the Carnation Garden's stage area and through the tunnel to Rancho de Zocalo. Here is where you'll hit the major congestion. The CM's won't let you through until most of the F! crowd from the 9 pm show is gone. Keep to the right and you should be able to herd your way into a decent spot for F!

Good luck!

Thank you for the great advice! In looking at a map, is it the Plaza Garden Stage area you are talking about DangerMouse? Also do we go towards the right or the left? I can't tell where the tunnel is. Thanks!

Maybe we should try and do Fantasia on another night... hmmm. More to think about!:rotfl:

I would try for separate nights. We were there last night and watched the fireworks. It was such a mess getting to F! that we gave up and decided to watch another time. I guess it depends on how many nights you have at DLR, but i would prefer not to have to cram everything in on one night. It seems to take away from the fun and magic when we are just rushing from one thing to another and forget to enjoy the journey.:cloud9:

Yes, that's it. I knew that name didn't sound quite right. . . :scratchin

The tunnel is to the left right after the stage area. Once you are through the tunnel you will go out to your right where you will find the "holding area" in Frontierland where the CM's have it blocked off until the first show clears out a bit.

If you have additional nights to watch F! I would definitely choose another night. We normally plan our trips Sun-Wed in the off season so our only night to catch both was on Sunday.

I think of it just like trying to catch EP and the fireworks in one night. It's not the easiest thing to do, but I love the challenge!
