Best filtered water bottle?

Have heard such horror stories about the water at WDW, and when we've been in the past we've bought bottled water. Since we are going to ship a box of supplies to our hotel before our trip I think I want to include a couple of water bottles with built in filters. I've seen ones from Rubbermaid, Bobble and Brita.

Anyone have any of these (or others) that you love or hate? Help me decide which to get

Last time I bought bottles there was only the Brita and the Bobble. I didn't like the bobble since its didn't look like it would fit in any standard bottle or cup holder.

One nice feature of the Bobble is that you replace the entire cap when you replace the filter. This means they are more expensive. But that you get a nice fresh un chewed on cap.

Since then the Rubber Made came out. It looks like it has a higher capacity filter so you may not have to squeeze as hard. It doesn't use a normal pull up spout like a sports bottle. Its just a tethered screw off cap. It also fits normal bottle holders.

All should remove the taste, our Britta's did.

We have Brita and Bobble and I like Brita better because of the shape of the bottle and I think it has a better taste.

We love love love our Bobbles. But, to be fair, we haven't tried any other kinds. (Haven't felt the need to.)

I haven't tried the other but I am very happy with our britta bottles. I was worried about it fitting in stroller cup holders but it worked for that too.

I can't say enough about our Brita bottles. I couldn't live without mine now. They come with us on every trip and have saved us a fortune in bottled water. Even the WDW water tastes good, and that is saying something!

If you belong to a warehouse club (BJs, Sam's) they have three packs that come with six filters. It's a great deal. Their price on filter multi-packs is also the best I've found.

I've used britta a lot in the past but found the water pooled in the area between the filter and the mouthpiece and leaked everywhere. I'm trying a bobble on this trip in the hope that it is better

I used to use purewater 2 go, which provided filtered water bottles long before brita, but when I went to their website to get a new filter it appears they are no longer active, so now I am looking at getting a new one, either the brita or berkey. The berkey sport bottle is nice because it is a company known for this kind of stuff and actually filters out a number of chemicals and medals, while the brita, from what I read, only filters chlorine. Although I believe if all you are really looking for is to get rid of that awful taste in orlando water then the brita is just fine, and while the filter needs to be replaced more often it is easier to find then the berkey.

Another note, if you get on where the filter is on the bottom and goes through a straw, don't try and drink it on an airplane. Without thinking I opened mine up on the plane and the pressure pushed the water up through the straw and all over me. I had my jacket on my lap so a good amount came out before I even realized it, meanwhile my wife saw it all and just laughed, couldn't get the words out quick enough to warn me. :lmao: Anyway, don't think it is a problem with the brita since it is designed differently, but would probably happen with the berkey.

We just bring a Brita Pitcher for our room and use that for our refillable water bottles that we take to the parks.

This is one complaint I have read about the Brita bottles.

The larger cap probably wasn't screwed on tight enough. At least for my set, bought when they first came out, I removed that ring thing and they seal much better now.

I have a semi insulated sleeve from Walmart that fits nicely and has a carabiner clip.

Been using a Brita for years and years. Love it and can't go on any trip without it.

One other issue with the Bobble is that it has a narrow mouth so its going to be harder putting ice in it.

After every CS meal we would take the leftover ice and put it in our Brita bottles and then load up with water.

Been thinking of buying a Brita. We have these hard aluminium who actually also look very nice. am i allowed to bring that into a park, since the bottle is basically made of metal?

I love the Camelbak Groove 6L bottle - It's very sturdy and they sell replacement bite pieces for it, insulated sleeve etc. You can use a caribiner clip to hang it off a cross body bag.

I took it to Mystic Seaport this past weekend and it was great. I use it every day and just changed the filter after 3 mos.
