Was thinking of using fabric paint to make my family shirts for disney instead of cutting all the letters and adding them shirts using my cricut . Has anyone had any luck with fabric painting tees, if so what paint is best? It will be mostly letters on the shirt so I would use a stencil to paint

I used a cheap fabric paint from Michael's(not sure of the brand, maybe Aileen's?). I think it was about $1 per bottle. It washed and dried beautifully. The kids have worn theirs for 2 years as pj shirts after our trip and they still look great! I cut freezer paper on the Cricut, ironed onto the tshirt, painted, let dry a few minutes then removed the freezer paper.

I like to use acrylic paint (any kind) and add fabric medium to it. It makes it more flexible so you can wash it and you have a broader choice of colors!
