HI! This is for all of us who have come back from a trip and are sort of in that wierd limbo land, where there is no more Disney planning, but Disney is still on our minds.

What was your best experience on your trip?

I can think of two. One was at the end of MVMCP Dec 9th (midnight) when the park was emptying out. The night had been absolutey perfect. My DH and DD and I got an ice cream and watched the Christmas show infront of the Castle. Then we just sort of took our time going down Main Street which was practically empty at that time.

The other was strolling through The Lands at Epcot, at night, and hearing the CP in the distance. I'll never forget it.:goodvibes

The last time we were in the MK my then 4 year old was having a huge meltdown (overtired-my fault) when another little girl maybe around 10 noticed her, so upset. She came over with her mother and gave my inconsolable DD her Cinderella bubbles she had obviously just bought for herself "to make her feel better". I was close to tears it was so sweet. My DD stopped crying, said thank you to our little Disney angel, and was from then on in the BEST mood!! Thats what I call Disney magic. We can all learn a little something from children, cant we?

SYDNCLAIRESMOM, that is the sweetest story. The WDW memory that keeps me going is from our last trip. My DH (fiancee at the time) and I watched FITS from Liberty Square on our first night, we were making our way slowly out of the park when he took me up to the castle. He bowed to me and asked me to dance. We danced in front of the castle as the people streamed out of the park all around us. It felt like we were the only two people in the world.

I have many but one from our first family trip still stands out. We had gone into MK for 3 hours on our departure day. We were standing at the castle taking our last photos, we promised DD we would take a horse drawn carriage ride on our way out, well they were readying for the castle stage show and had stopped horse carriage rides. DD was so disappointed but did not fuss, a very sweet CM driving an antique firetruck had seen our situation and invited us to ride with him back to the barn at the end of Main St. He let the kids ring the fire bell and drove us out of the park in style. He was so nice, just what a CM should be!:sunny: Of course we were SAD to leave!!!

Well my memory is of on SplashMountain in DL. I was there with a singles group. I was there to get out and have fun not find a boyfriend. Anyway there was this nice guy and for some reason I was having lots of fun flirting with him. I NEVER flirt. We got on SplashMountain together and I was afraid that I might squish him(I'm a pretty big girl). I said "I'm sorry if I squish you." His reply was "That's ok. I'm squishable." We just got married :bride: this past October and are taking our first trip to WDW in 8 days for our Honeymoon!:love1:

Aside from the F&WF 2 of the best was our champagne horse and carrige ride around POR and high tea at the GF.

We just returned last Friday. I took my mom down to Disney for her first time as her BIG Christmas gift. Sitting out on the balcony of the Wilderness Lodge overlooking the pool and lake. Sitting in the lobby looking at the Christmas tree. MVMCP on the 9th was definitely the highlight of the trip. My mom watching the Christmas parade and her giving me a great big hug and saying thank you for bringing me here. Watching Wishes at MVMCP having to turn completely around to see all of the fireworks. Watching Wishes for the first time. Watching Wishes at Ohana with a perfect view of the castle while they piped in the music and dimmed the lights. My mom getting up with all the women at The Whispering Canyon Cafe doing the Hokey Pokey. She acted like a kid again. It was truely a magical trip!!!:)

Not just back, but certainly in that limbo stage between trips.

Best magical moment from out last trip (in late Aug).... a little girl by the name of Olivia. we had just eaten at Tonys and came outside and claimed a spot for Spectro. Olivia and her mom claimed the spot right beside us. Olivia was about 3 and this was her first trip. She was very talkative and the most pleasant child. Full of Disney Magic. We (DH, DS - 8yo, and I) had so much fun talking to her and her mom.
Her excitement kept growing with each "the parade will start in _ min" annoucement. When it came time however, and everyone stood up, Olivia could not see. My son (who has always desperately wanted a brother or sister) asked Olivia's mom if Olivia could stand in front of him.
Her squeals of joy at every sight and character were priceless. I cried the entire way thru the parade.

I will never forget Olivia.

1) Riding Splash Mountain with my DD5 for the first time. Later she'd tell her kindergarten class "My dad screams like a little girl." Completely false, by the way.

2) Meeting all of the webmasters, authors and DIS-ers at Mousefest 2003, especially the Drink Around the World event, followed by the Jellyrolls meet.

What sweet memories! Hammertime, how romantic!! Happy anniversary to you both! :) One of my special memories is from my most recent trip. My husb and I were browsing through the shops in the UK one night at Epcot. He stopped to look at something, and I kept walking through all the many rooms. I came to the last room, and the lights were dim. I peeked around, and there was Pooh. I was quite surprised and exclaimed "Pooh!" He opened his arms, and the next thing I knew, he was twirling me and we were dancing. Just me and Pooh...and a CM who took our picture. That silly old bear made my heart go pitter patter! :) I love telling everyone that I danced with Pooh.

Candlelight Processional with my friend DisneyCP2002 and with Angela as the interpreter.

My most memorable moment was in June 1988. It rained every day. We were staying at the comfort inn on palm parkway and on thursday it rained heavily till noon. We then went to the magic kingdom. When we boarded the ferry the sky was cloudy and gloomy and halfway through the cruise the sun came out and formed a huge rainbow from one end of the kingdom to the other. Everyone on board cheered and yelled DISNEY MAGIC.

These are making me CRY!!!!!! :D

I have a few, but here's one of my favorites. I have been in love with WDW since the first time I set foot in it when I was in college. Every time I went, I called my mom from the phones by SM and told her how much I wanted her to experience it.

In 2001, DS's (then 5) health was starting to go downhill. I knew that it would be a long time before he would be healthy enough to go again, so we took our first trip together and included grandma.

When we walked into MK for the first time, mom BURST into tears when she saw the Castle! Here is this 56 year old woman, standing in the middle of Main Street USA, blubbering like a little girl! It was BEAUTIFUL. DS was trying to comfort her until he saw Mickey!!!! His face LIT UP and he screamed "MICKEY"! and broke into a full run with a magical look on his face. Mickey opened his arms and DS was completely enveloped for several seconds. So, here's DS lost in Mickey, with tears streaming down his face and there's grandma standing in the middle of Main Street USA crying like a child. I was so moved I started to cry! It was one of the most heart-warming moments of my life.

We just returned on Saturday, last week. I would have to say without a doubt, that my most magical memory of the trip was seeing WISHES in front of the castle. It was so beautiful.

Also, seeing my 3 year old...who is just BARELY 40 inches....experience all the "big kid" rides. He was so proud that he could ride Test Track, Splash, Big Thunder, and Star Tours. He noticed the sign on the inside of each ride vehicle (even the ones without height requirements) advising parents to take small children by the hand, so he would reach over with his little hand each and everytime to hold mine...it was precious.

I love this thread:) So many wonderful memories. I've been to WDW 4x and last summer I took my older sister on a spontaneous WDW vacation. There is no one single special memory because all of it was special. From the moment we arrived at AKL (first time to stay on property) staying 7days to when we left promising ourselves we would be back next year with 6 more family members to make more unforgettable memories. Everything was wonderful and we can hardly wait to go again!
I've enjoyed all the things that have been shared so far by my fellow DIS'ers
Happy Holidays to you all.

Last month, we took an Illuminations cruise for the first time. We shared the boat with 4 other DIS members which was a neat experience.

But the really special memory of the trip was when the Captain let my daughter drive the boat. The look on Jen's face as she took the helm was priceless.

The best experience I had from my last trip was at MGM. I accidentally left my brand new digital camera in the rented carriage. After a few hours I called lost and found in a last ditch effort to find it, and they told me the person that took the carriage after me had turned it in! Only in Disney! I was thrilled to think that someone would do this for me. Whoever it was, thank you! Thanks to whoever it was we didn't lose any of our pictures.

Well The whole expereince was magical for me being my first trip to WDW in November.

However these are the things that stand out to me:

The fireworks over the castle X2 ( saw this twice as finished MGm early and came back to Magic Kingdom for last hour before closing). seperated from group of my Husband and our 2 friends and watched this by myself). I got candy cotton and watched fireworks that night for the second time as well as rode dumbo by myself and the peter pan ride by myself. It truely was magical.

Seeing the characters for the first time.

Seeing the castle for the first time.

Finally riding the tea cups for myself ( as 2 freinds had been to WDw, and Disneyland and rode them for me).
