Best Excursions? Dolphin Encounters?

I am considering signing us up for a dolphin swim when we go on the 7 day Eastern curise on November 1. Any suggestions on whther or not we should do this and what to expect? Through Disney or independently? "Swim" or "Encounter"?

I haven't done this particular excursion, but your thread was beginning to fall into obscurity without a response. I believe the "Dolphin Encounter" consists of standing on a platform in the water while the "Dolphin Swim" offers swimming with them. So I guess your choice is contingent upon budget, swimming ability and the level of interaction you desire with the dolphins.
