Best Epcot area resort?

I have stayed at the Beach Club, Yacht Club and BWI. I enjoyed staying at all three. However, the BWI wins out. I enjoy the hustle of the BW at night. The Inn itself is always beautiful and I have never been disturbed by the people around the Boardwalk when I go back to the room at night.:)

We've stayed at the BWI, BWV, BC and Swan and actually prefer the Swan. Dollar for dollar, for us the Swan is a better choice, especially with the government employee discount.

Another vote for the Swan and Dolphin!~These two lovely properties are NOW managed by STARWOOD corp. (no longer Westin and Sheraton, which were acquired by Starwood in 1999).
Tishman H. Corp. actually owns them. ;)

These two resort hotels, located in the EPCOT RESORT area, face each other across a large crescent~shaped lake. Between them, they contain more than 2,200 guest rooms, extensive convention facilities, retail shops, and 16 Restaurants (Including world-famous SHULA'S steakhouse, and the newly-opened BLUE ZOO!). The wonderful coloration and decoration of the hotels and their surroundings suggest the character of traditional FLORIDA Resorts and provide a thematic context consistent with Disney's program for "Entertainment Architecture." Studio head: Patrick Burke. Associated architect: Alan Lapidus and Michael Graves. Dates: 1987-1990 (grand opening).

Recently, these properties underwent (With the Dolphin still underway) a major renovation and transformation. The cost has been staggering, but the results astounding. The new heavenly beds are receiving RAVE reviews from guests, coupled with new large-screen televisions and high speed internet access.

Having stayed at all the resorts in the EPCOT area, the DOLPHIN is my #1 favorite. ::yes::

Enjoy....

Love all the Epcot resorts....but, Swan/Dolphin are awesome!
Best beds, grotto pool is fabulous, poolside service is great, and the room service(Food and Service) is the BEST!
WDW could use a couple of room service lessons from the S/D.

In fact, if the S/D wasn't already totally BOOKED for our Spring Break trip, we'd be staying there, or at least part of our stay!

And ya'll know I love to stay at alot of WDW deluxes, but S/D is hard to beat for good value!

::yes::

Hoping to have another June trip there this year!
2 bedroom executive suite is the only way to go!
(I am a Starwood Pref. Platinum memeber!)

Wished WDW would have a frequent guest program!

YOU & ME BOTH~! I LOVE the Plat. perks, and the superior service offered by these two properties. I always have to stay concierge on Disney properties, just to receive the standard service offered (for PLAT SPG) by both of these resorts! (LOL). ::yes:: Of course, not that I "MIND" having to stay CL on Disney property. The suite atop the 14th floor CL last summer, was absolutely wonderful! I only WISH it had the HEAVENLY BEDS. :) I find MAGIC wherever I stay! :sunny:

I have stayed at the YC, BC and BWI, all on the concierge level. I have to go with the BWI. The staff there is the absolute best, the views are awesome, the activities are abundent. I love their quiet pool. I was never crowded and very relaxing. I will be back there in just a few weeks!:Pinkbounc

Well I loved the Yacht club last May. I love the Epcot resort area and plan to try the BC and BWI as soon as I can. In 8 days, I'll be at the Swan for the first time. I'm telling myself that we are going to be park commandos and that the nurses' rate I got can't be beat. We'll see...I'm secretly hoping to fall in love with the place! Between Starwood points and the nurse's rate, i don't think I'll ever get a deal like that "in" Disney. And after loving walking around the entire Epcot area, I can't see how anyone can truly say the S/D doesn't feel Disney!

Superior beds, great pool and fantastic staff! The Swan and Dolphin will always be my favorite EPCOT area resorts.

Debbie
