Best end to your trip?

We've always ended our trip at MK with a dessert party. We haven't seen HEA. Last time we were at the World was 2016. We haven't seen SW fireworks either. We will be there in July and we are huge SW fans. Kids are 13 and 16. Should we end our trip at MK, maybe with California Grill dinner and a view of the fireworks, or should we end at our favorite park HS with the SW dessert party? Which do you think our group would enjoy more? Husband hates crowds, so dinner or dessert party with fireworks is the only way to get him there! Also, I don't mind spending the money if I'm getting the value, if you know what i mean? Which of these options feels like a better value to you? We haven't done either. Thanks!

Personally, I would do the HEA dessert party. I love it and that show is a perfect way to end a trip.

I don't think you would go wrong with either choice, though. If you're big SW fans then you will have a great time at that party.

HS is my favorite park, too, so it would be a really tough choice if I were in your shoes!

You certainly can! Maybe cheaper and a better value than Cali Grill if I can't time dinner how I'd like. Will definitely put that back in the running!

Okay, thank you. I think my decision is to end with MK and fireworks. It just seems to be our tradition. As much as we love HS, there aren't enough rides there to make that a great end to the trip!

And not to make your choice more difficult but.... would it be possible for you and your kids to catch the SW fireworks with your plans? It is also a great show! And that’s coming from someone indifferent to Star Wars. Maybe DH could find his own less crowded adventure?

If you are huge Star Wars fans, I would do the SW dessert party. In addition to the party, you get a meet and greet with Kylo and a Stormtrooper escort out to the viewing area.

Another vote for the Star Wars Galactic Spectacular dessert party. If you are SW fans you will really enjoy it! We did it for the first time last year and it is my DS22 only request for this year. Love It!

I do love that the SW dessert party has savory items and alcohol. How is the show? If I was a 12 yo girl with a Millennium Falcon and shed tears through all the new SW movies, would I love it?

Okay, given we're at Boardwalk with an early departure and justmissing SWGE I'm going to stick with the SW dessert party. Husband loves SW as well, so he'd probably prefer that.

Last year we went to MK on the worst possible and most crowded day just so we could catch the one HEA showing during our vacation (MVMCP Holiday Wishes was shown on all the other nights.) We were a little miserable with how crowded it got during the day, but when we finally got to see HEA... it was so worth it!!! HEA is incredible, we loved it. I would definitely recommend the HEA dessert party in MK. If your husband truly hates crowds, when everyone leaves after the fireworks you could walk to the Contemporary and catch a Minnie Van/Uber back to your hotel. The Contemporary walkway doesn’t usually get too crowded vs. the bus/boat/monorail lines which can get a little crazy.

Great suggestion. I may try to do both parties. I'm also contemplating the DAH at MK on our arrival night, but I know we will be up early so that's a tough one. I'm trying to resist spending for all the extra things, no matter how tempting. I think since we've never done the SW fireworks/dessert party I may just keep that and end our trip on that note, but will consider trying to do something special at MK too!

I know! They just keep offering more and more, which is great, but just makes it harder to decide what to do!
