Best DVC views??

Other than the new BLT, Which DVC resort has the best water views? My DH is willing to do DVC if the room has a good view... I see that some of the resorts have "preferred" views... I assume water is preferred?? When you make a reservation, how do you know what kind of view the room will have? I know when you make a reservation at the WDW resorts, you can pay extra for a water view, how does this work with DVC?

I can only speak for Boardwalk villas, the Boardwalk view which is a view of the boardwalk and the lake beyond is a separate booking category. The boardwalk view will cost you the same amount as a preferred view which is another booking category but is more a view of the pool, etc.

There is a standard view (we have stayed both boardwalk view and standard) which costs less points than boardwalk or preferred view.

The standard view and boardwalk views rooms are limited in number compared to the preferred view rooms.

I am not sure if there are guaranteed water rooms at the other resorts.

Does your husband like to golf? We had a room at SSR that had a view of the course with a little lake in the middle. It was very nice.

The BWV - Boardwalk view is out of this world. We stayed there last summer and can't wait to go back.

There are rooms at OKW - along the canal that have beautiful views.

What about a room at AKV with a Savanna view? We stayed there last October and I was blown away. It may be one of the most unique views on property.

I agree that the Boardwalk view at the BWV is the best on property. Once BLT opens, the MK view will definately give BWV competition, but for now, the view is the best of any DVC resort. There's nothing like drinking your morning coffee while looking at the Boardwalk, Crescent Lake, and Epcot!

I really like the downtown disney view from the congress park section at SSR. All the colorful lights are so pretty reflecting off of the water at night.

I also like that I can enjoy this view from the pool or the hottub! Relaxation...
