Best DVC Resort for young teens?

What is your favorite DVC resort for younger teens? Our family has 2 teens (DS 15 and DD 13) so we typically like to stay in a 2 Bedroom for the space. We own at AKV but have spent our past two trips at BCV, which we love! What other resorts should we consider? We are booked at Jambo but I’m worried that the sleeping arrangements (ie. Sofa bed) are going to lead to at least one cranky teenager.

Hard to say since we don’t know much about your two teenagers. Do they tend to stay with you or explore alone? Do they prefer pools or parks?

You’ve already stayed at AKV (Kidani?) and BCV, with plans to stay at Jambo House next.

Without knowing more, I suggest a dedicated 2BR at BLT next, but they have the worst pool (unimaginative and too small). But being on the Monorail is a different experience.

Good point...Unfortunately, they are both very different. My son (the eldest) tends to stay with us and prefers the parks, but my daughter (the youngest) would love to explore on her own and likes the pool/parks equally. We have stayed at Kidani in a 2BR before and it was very comfortable, but given the upcoming pool refurbishment, I was trying to avoid that this year. I should also add that we've stayed at Poly and Riviera in a studio but only for a night or two (and it was tight!).

You could do connecting studios (not guaranteed but generally given) at Poly to free it up a bit.

If you liked BCV, BWV would be another to try when they have the entertainment back. 2BR can be a challenge though.

RIV 1br/2br, CCV or VWL 2BR, Poly connecting studios

Those would be my suggestions.

You could do SSR becuase it is refurbed but not sure how you feel about your daughter exploring Disney Springs alone or the very spread out resort alone.

I probably wouldn’t be comfortable with her exploring Disney Springs or a spread out resort alone. Maybe when she is little older.

My niece loved BW as a teenager. It’s a fun area to hang out and watch people. The pool is also nice, even if the theme is a little odd. :)

I think CC and BR would be amazing because that resort is so unique and both Pools are nice, as well as geyser point.

That being said, we love Jambo. If you can deal with the pull out couch issue (some people bring mattress toppers), I’d actually stay there.
