Just got back from a week stay at the BWV. It was so hot we did lots of pool hoping. I was wondering what people thought the best pool was. BVC is too good to be included.

you would need to include non-DVc resort - besides the SALB (bc/yc) -
there would include in my opinion

CSR, Polyn, GF

for kids under 8
POFQ

We haven't been there yet, but I voted BWV based on looks alone.

Bobbi:D

I voted SSR because of the zero entry even though I haven't been there yet.

I think the BWV is really nice but if they added zero entry it would be fantastic.

Voted for WL, but I prefer the AKL and Poly pools to WL. And SAB to them all.

Have not tried SSR pool yet, but I heard it is very nice.

I voted for SSR because we like the slide and all of the open space. However, it could easily become my least favorite when the crowds come from 800 other units! :D I sure hope DVC builds another themed pool at SSR before all is said and done.

I actually don't like SAB. Too spread out, too difficult to watch kids. At least, I don't like it for my kids ages (4 and 5). Though the kiddie slide is wonderful.

I think it depends on what you are looking for. The paths around the VWL are wonderful, as is watching the water parade by standing up in the hottub. But its slide is rather tame for a 10 year old daredevil. SSR has zero entry (as does SAB) - great for toddlers, but not a great feature once your kids outgrow it and the pool seems rather removed from the majority of units. BWV has a great slide - perhaps a little too untame, but no zero entry, and there is that clown....etc.

Just the "POOL" itself would be BWV for us, but if we include surroundings and amenities, its VWL. Just something about WL pool thats so relaxing and beautifull (unless we are talking about the quiet pool which is too small to win). Like the bar right there, the hot tub layout, the lake and geyser, the slide in the rocks, the falls and stream and the food court right by.

It's funny that this poll is here tonight! I wrote to DVC MS just this morning on pool hopping. I wanted concrete information about using SAB if I am staying at SSR. Basically, he said "no way!" :sad1: Bummer, I really wanted to try out that pool.
This is actually what he said:
"Pool Hopping is not allowed at Disney's Yacht and Beach Club Resort or Villas or Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. Pool hopping is not allowed at either Resort at any time.
Have a Magical Day!"

I guess that pretty much covers it.
::yes::
I'll just have to stay there then!

2 slides, 2 hot spas, Zero Entry, Donald Duck Play Area, and nice woven chaise lounges that don't leave welt-like impressions on your legs! LOL

BWV would be second.

I agree with spiceycat we loved Coronado Springs pool it was one of the best we have used.

LIFERBABE.... I also noticed that about the lounge chairs at SSR. I didn't actually sit in them, but they looked much more comfortable than the other ones.

I agree. The pool bar at the BWV is way under appreciated.
