Best DVC for proposal night

Ok so i am going to propose to my g/f while on our trip to disney next month. On the proposal night what is the best dvc resort to stay at? We are going with friends and i want a seperate room for that night and we are staying at BLT and there are no other rooms available for that night.

Very exciting! I think availability will likely be your determining factor. If you wind up at a resort you are not crazy about, focus on your room requests and make sure they know what you are celebrating. Maybe you can get a nice location/view. If you have choices between resorts, I would weigh proximity very high.

My understanding is that it would be too late to try to use your points at GF or Poly, which would be nice. Actually, you might consider doing a regular booking at one of those because they also would be very convenient (assuming you are coming from MK).

vwl, akv, bcv, bwv - would be at the top

ssr, okw - if all of them are booked

vwl is close to BLT - so it is not much out of the way - plus it is romantic

AKV is pretty far away - but again it is romantic.

bcv and bwv are near Epcot so at least some fireworks.

My first choice would be BLT MK view - but since that isn't available (are you looking for a room on points or cash? MK view might be available for cash through CRO)...I'd go for BWV Boardwalk view if available.

I guess it would depend on her tastes... I like VWL and AKV but.... they are more "rustic" than "romantic"

Any of the DVC resorts would work for proposal night. Just pick one! Oh, and good luck with the whole proposal thing too!

Since you will be at the BLT, why not propose in the Top of the World Lounge? The fireworks view of WISHES out on the deck would be a great "finish" to a very special evening.

My advice is to sneak up there by yourself one evening and talk to the staff of the lounge. If opens at 5 pm, IIRC. Perhaps they will reserve the private alcove within the lounge for you - it's first come, first served, but I don't think it's all that popular and you do have a good reason for speciall treatment, LOL.

Maybe they can even suggest some special appetizers & drinks to make it even more special, or you can use your imagination.

The views from the TOTWL and deck are very nice and what could be more romantic than getting a proposal in sight of Cinderella's castle?

If I were you I would keep the room at BLT and kick your friends out for the rest of the trip. You could get them a room at POP and just meet during the day. I'm not sure why you would want to move. Since your trip is coming up soon I'm not sure if there will be many choices to pick from. Have a great time.

Ok guys so here is the deal thank you soo very much for your replies.The proposal is going to go like this. I called Disney photography and setup with a photographer to meet at the rose garden next to the castle 5 minutes before wishes starts. We have it worked out to where i walk up to him and ask if this is a good spot to watch the fireworks. He says yes and asks me if i want some sovienier pics. I say yes and he drops the rope and we go into the rose garden and i purpose while the photographs the whole thing. I get a 30 minute session with him. Now the very next morning i have another hour session scheduled in epcot before the park opens to take pictures around World Showcase. So what i did was get a room at BCV for the evening then we only have a short walk in the morning to meet the photographer. Ladies tell me what you think i really hope this goes well and as planned. Thank you all again for your input.

Wow, that sounds absolutely fabulous. If you are not driving, you can hop on the monorail from MK to Epcot that night and have a romantic walk through Epcot to get to BCV. Good luck!! Post again and let us know how it goes!
