Best driving directions???

Hello All--

We will be driving this year and we live in Atlanta. Just wanted to know the best route to get to WDW. It has been a while just didnt know if anything has changed!!!

We drove through Atlanta on our way from Kansas...this was a tip I had gotten and it was great. I do not have our trip still, but I used mapquest and it was perfect.
For those driving south to WDW via the Florida Turnpike, you might be interested in Walt Disney World's Western Way, which allows you to shorten your drive and bypass the busy Interstate 4. Directions: As you drive south on I-75, take the Florida Turnpike, and you'll eventually approach a collection of several overpasses and exits. Look for and take 429 West Toll Road (Tampa) to exit the Turnpike. You'll find yourself on a quiet four-lane toll road and in approximately 14 miles, you'll take the Walt Disney World exit. This is Disney's Western Way and in just a few miles, you'll soon enter the WDW Resort area to the west of the Coronado Springs Resort onto Buena Vista Drive. Turning left will take you directly toward Downtown Disney and the rest of the WDW Resort. -

As bbmommy says, this great short cut route also will drop you onto 192, west of Disney. Very convenient. We discovered this route in March and it saved a lot of time and the hassle of I-4.

I'm coming from Atlanta, from a previous function I'm going to, and will be taking I-75 to the Turnpike and then to I-4. Worked well for us last year.

You can go directly from the Turnpike to Disney Property.

Here are the exact directions.

I-75 S

Get off at exit 328 (approximately 140 miles from Georgia/Florida State Line, approximately 107 miles from I-10)

Travel on Florida Turnpike to Exit 267A (429S) (approximately 42 miles)

Travel on 429S to Exit 8 (Disney World/Hartzog Rd) (approximately 14 miles)

This road will take you to West Buena Vista Dr near Coronado Springs.

Turn right if going to All-Stars or Animal Kingdom Lodge, turn left if going anywhere else, then follow the Disney signs to your destination.

Tolls on the main Turnpike will be $2.50 for a standard vehicle. (More if pulling a trailer).

Tolls on 429S to Disney World will be just $1.00 as the Disney World Exit doesn't appear to charge a toll.

(I based the mileage on the exit numbers as they coincide with mile markers).
