Hello....
We are going to DL for the first time in March........ :cool1: . We are DVC owners so we are staying at GCH. Now I have to just get tickets. We will need 3 Day PH's.....so where is the best place to get them?? Will there be a price increase soon??? Any advice will be appreciated!!

Love thie DIS!!!!!!!!!!!

THANKS!

In My opinion, chances of price raising is slim since it was raised 2 months ago. I suggest buying them through the DIsney Company so you can get the Early Entry.

But i think you should buy it Costco or Sams Club :P

I think in March they're doing the adults play for kids price thing. I believe that's through Disney travel. There may be better deals, but that's the one I know of.

I think we went in March where the kids went for free with a paying adult, which was another deal happening at the same time. I think that may have been a Disney Visa special, though, but they may be offering that again, too.

I've heard something about the prices going up in January, but that may have just been a rumor.

I would buy them from the Disneyland website - they have the "Everyone plays at kid prices" promo going on and it's a great deal with advanced purchase! It'll save you $50 off each 3-day adult hopper ticket, and the tickets are good through April 26th, 2007. Also, you'll save $20 off each 3 day child hopper ticket with the advanced purchase from the website :thumbsup2

Since you still have some time to go, I would definitely wait and see if they offer the usual buy and adult get a kids free ticket promo! That is an awesome deal and if you need kids tickets anyways, you can't beat it. If not the I would go with the everyone plays for kids price as suggested above. Still a good deal!!

Kim, the price does increase in January.

In the past the Kids free deal has always been announced by now, so I wouldn't count on that one.

Go with the "Everyone Plays for the Kids Price" park hoppers. Three day hoppers will be $129. Occasionally you can buy convention tickets for a reduced price, but (and this is just my opinion, I know many would disagree) I don't agree with the practice of purchasing them if you are not part of the convention.

I just bought tickets. I didn't see anything about "Everyone Plays At Kid Prices".. :confused3

Oh, I see it now.. It wouldn't have worked for me anyway. :)

We are also making our first trip to DL in March. I was thinking about the Southern CA pass that includes a day at Universal and Sea World SD. but it expires on Jan 2 so I quess I need to wait!

There's a CityPass that will be good for 2007...you can find it on the CityPass website. I think it's a little bit more expensive than the 2006 one because of the DL price increase.

Buying from Disney online or at the Disney store outside of SoCal will get you the advance price & the early entry, also.

That is the 2nd price increase in 6 months...I think it's another $10 on 1/3/07 for the regular ticket. Everyone plays at the kids price is a good deal unless you're wanting to go on the secondary market.

try the website

getawaytoday.com

they have some really good deals on there and it seems to be their standard rate. The tix seem to be a bit cheaper then most places and the service you get from them is FAB!

In the past we've purchased our park hoppers through either our local credit union (20% discount) or through Costco and then upgraded to APs on our last day. Both places were a good price and had the regular admission amount printed on the tickets allowing us to get full admission prices credited toward our APs

Just took a peak at the getawaytoday website & their DL tickets are the same as DL advance & out of town Disney Store prices for tickets for use after 1/3/07, but they charge a $10 handling fee per order.

Best price for regular tickets that I'm aware of for DL tickets online is ARES Travel (google ARES Travel)...the tickets are discounted, but they charge $10 for FedEx 2nd day per order, I believe. Good deal if you're buying enough tickets to spread the shipping charge out.

If you're planning on getting an AP with blockout dates, you can buy a regular ticket which has no restrictions, use it for all of the days you'd be blocked out & then apply the cost of your ticket to the AP w/ blockout dates. Great for holidays & weekends during the summer if you're planning on getting an AP anyway. Just make sure that you have an upgradeable ticket.
