please list your top 5 Table service restaurant that you would get the most bang for your buck

After using the Dining Plan many times, we gave up looking for TS places that are the *best bang for your buck* in terms of $$ value. We found that some of the more expensive places were just not that great.
For example..while The Plaza in MK is not a great $$ value in terms of using Dining Credits we MUCH preferred it to Tony's (a more expensive meal).

So I can share our favorite places: :)

1. Via Napoli
2. Kona
3. Sci Fi
4. Tusker House breakfast
5. Teppan Edo or Nine Dragons

I think your best bet is to review the menus at allearsnet.com to see what menus appeal to your family - :goodvibes

ps - our absolute FAVORITE and the best Value on the Dining Plan (in our opinion) is Wolfgang Puck Express @ DTD for a counter service credit - food and service were much better than many TS places in the World.

if you like steak, that's definitely the highest $$$ value on menus, and best bang-for-your-buck on the one TS credit meals.

We've have had great steaks at the first 4 listed (and high $ value tickets on DDP at all 5):

1. Kona Cafe
2. Grand Floridian Cafe
3. The Wave
4. The Turf Club
5. Via Napoli (not steak, but very high-priced pizza...and we love it.)

Our top five best table service restuarant on the dining plan are

1. Boma
2. Kona Cafe
3. Grand Floridian Cafe
4. Coral Reef
5. Chef Mickeys (if you like character meals)

I don't know about price value, but we have done the DDP and not. These are our never miss restaurants:

1. Boma (buffet, but 39.40 per adult)
2. Le Cellier Lunch (steaks at around 30/person plus side and dessert)
3. Tusker Breakfast (buffet, but 28.75 per adult)
4. Crystal Palace Breakfast (buffet, but 28.75 per adult)
5. Garden Grill (family style 34.99 per adult)

Remember that on the DDP you get drink, entree and dessert. It does not include appetizers.

We are meat eaters. Beef being my 1st choice (DH can eat more chicken than I).

So our restaurants to not miss are:

1. Ohana (this is a great value for meat/beef eaters)
2. Whispering Canyon Cafe (DH gets the skillet, but they have a GREAT steak)
3. Chef Mickey's (I love their rare strip loin. I load up on all meat and mashed potatoes here)
4. Crystal Palace (again the beef is great and so convient eating in MK).
5. LTT or San Angel Inn (DH is LTT he loves the thanksgiving style meal. Me I like SAI, love my mexican dishes)

1. Cape May dinner buffet (seafood, including crab legs)-we liked it so much that we cancelled another ADR to go twice in one trip

2.Le Cellier lunch-fillet+pretzel bread=YUM!!

3.Via Napoli-awesome pizza

4.Tusker House breakfast buffet-great variety, nice characters

5.Tutto Italia-everything we have had here is very good

Akershus I believe gives you the most value for your $. The dinner is almost the price of some 2 TS credit meals (We priced to decide if DDP was worth it and Akershus was $120 for 2 adults and one child, Jiko was $146)and even comes with a picture package included in the cost.

Ohana dinner is a good use of a TS credit. Crystal Palace dinner if you like buffet.

In general, dinners are more expensive, so a better use if your goal is to max out the cost of the DDP.:hippie:

Feb. will be our first time with the ddp....

We booked the Fantasmic Package at Mama Melrose. It seems like a good value with app, entree, and dessert, plus the priority line to get in!

We just got back from our very first trip and were only there for 6 nights, so I can't really offer the 5 best restaurants. In our opinion, using the Dining plan, you get more bang for your buck using the TS credits for dinner instead of breakfast, since it's usually the most expensive meal of the day. We took small breakfast foods (cereal, pop tarts, muffins, etc) in our room and ate before we left for the parks. We used quick service for lunch and the TS for dinners.

Our 3 favorites:

#1 Wave @ The Contemporary. Wonderful atmosphere and fantastic food.
#2 Akershus in Epcot. The price was $350 for our family of 6, had good food, great "princess" experience and the picture included. I would NOT have paid this much for dinner without the free dining plan.
#3 Whispering Canyon @ Wilderness Lodge - Good steak
