Hi ~
Am already thinking about April 2004!!
Sons will be 15 & 17. What is the best deluxe hotel for teens? If you have a
suggestion, can you also tell me what I should expect to pay.

I've read many posts re: certain codes, etc. Will there be any codes available
for Easter vacation ~ next April??

Is it an advantage to book our hotel so far in advance? Should I use the WDW website?
Since we will need to fly out of a small airport, we'll need to book our flight very
far in advance. (I'm talking as soon as the airfare becomes available!)

Thanks in advance to all you "pros"!

Well, have them look at pictures of the resorts and let you know which ones look interesting to them. I don't think there is any "best" place for any particular age - it's whatever YOU like!

Make your ressies as soon as you'd like. Anytime a discount comes out that applies to your timeframe, you can call and have it applied to your reservation. I know lots of people who call, and call, and call, and change their codes to whatever is the current best. Better safe than sorry!:)

I have two sons, both various ages when we went over the years and so far they have chosen the Contemporary because it is the resort with the biggest gameroom. I wouldn't stay in the garden rooms though, the views from the Tower rooms are awesome. Many people say that it's "themeless", but we've always found the rooms cute, the monorail is handy, the restaurants excellent, and have always had a great time. The kids did go to the gameroom allot during "off time" and I've also heard other people say it's nice.

Our last trip, I had 3 teens, 15, 17 and 18 - we stayed at the Beach Club and they loved it - the pool area is phenonmenal - the water activities are great - it's walking distance to Epcot and Boardwalk and there was a sand volleyball court for my daughter to practice on - HIGHLY recommend!

I just took my 17 yo DS and a friend in Feb. We stayed at BWV on points we rented from a DVC member. That was a great location for teens. They could walk to Epcot or MGM, plus the entertainment on the Boardwalk was very appealing to them. They really enjoyed the guy who did card tricks-he remembered their names each night so they were thrilled! We were lucky enough to stay in a 1 bedroom as they upgraded us from the preferred studio I paid for. It was absolutely wonderful! It was great to have my own bedroom and the kitchen was great to have for breakfasts and snacks.

My DS14 likes the BW best so far and DS17's favorite (although non-Disney) is HIFS. We haven't stayed at the CR yet but will this July and I have a feeling that one will be a favorite too, because of the gameroom.

especially the BWV and BCV. It would be nice if you could afford a 2 bedroom so the boys will also have their privacy with their own bedroom and bath. The BWV and BCV are a great area for teens. We are taking my daughter and 3 of her friends for her 16th birthday and we are doing the BCV for 10 days. I choose this resort because I know they can walk to two of the parks and we will not be far away. If you don't want these, you might also check out the swan and dolphin which is in the same area and maybe you can get connecting rooms. I know teens, and their parents like their privacy. Have fun planning and if you are going easter, i would definitely reserve something now, it is also spring break for many of our upstate NY schools.

My son is 16 and his favorite is the Contemporary (even the Wings). We have only stayed in the Tower once, and, although the view if fantastic, will probably not be there anymore. If you can afford it, then that would be great.

As said previously, another great option would be Beach Club or Boardwalk.

I wouldn't count on any codes for Easter vacation. It's possible, but not likely.

On Discounts for Easter...
We got an annual pass discount for the week before Easter, checking out Easter in 2001. Easter was later that year so I was hoping they would give a deal this year, well it didn't really happen but we did ok anyway. Stayed 5 nights at Swan, which was pretty nice, just love that location, at AAA rates $162.50, and I tried to book AS movies and they offered me an upsell for Coronado Springs for the last 3 nights of my trip, should have been $169 rack and we got in for $119 a night. Ended up getting a water view to.

I too give a thumbs up to the Contemporary. My kids love the game room at CR. Our kids are slightly younger, but the way the game room is situated, DH can sit right outside the arcade in Food & Fun and enjoy a cup of joe while to kids lose their minds in the arcade. BC/YC also good choices because of SAB and the close proximity to the Boardwalk, Epcot & MGM.

I would have to say that I have heard that BW is a favorite of the teen set, and I would think that YC/BC with SAB would be a good choice too. Really any of the Epcot area resorts would be a good choice.

I simply think that the monorail resorts are more for families that would look to spend most of their time at MK.

Thanks to all of you for the replies!!
We'll be traveling next April, the week following Easter is my son's spring break.
I'm not a patient travel planner, I feel better w/reservations well in advance, etc.
So, I'll go ahead and start checking the places recommended out.
Thanks again to everyone!

This will be our third time renting points...this gives us a little more room for our 16, 16 & 14 yr. olds. We love the BW and the BC Villas, as stated above they are within walking/boating distance to Epcot and MGM. They also love the pools at both of these resorts.
Check out the rent/trade forum right here on the DIS. An owner can rent to you at 11 months out at their home resort. So they could rent in May for next April (I think!? someone will correct me if I'm wrong, I'm sure)
My teens also love the moderate...Caribbean Beach Resort.
My upcoming trip we are going to do the Hard Rock Hotel at Universal, then the Poly for one night before we check into the villas at the Boardwalk Villas for the rest of our stay.
Good luck, whereever you go, it will be magical!

We are DVC members but when we stay at a resort before or after our DVC stay, they want nothing but YC or BC. They LOVE SAB (the pool), the arcade and Beaches and Cream!
I have suggested other resorts but they won't hear of it! LOL!
